I’m Joe Strong, a Dallas-based videographer and photographer with a documentary heart and an editorial eye. I focus on real emotion—the moments that happen naturally, not on cue. Fluent in Italian and a Rutgers graduate in Supply Chain Management, I bring calm, structure, and adaptability to every wedding day. (In no small part to being the oldest of 10 children!) Through Violet Crowned Media, connection comes first. If we genuinely connect as people, no wedding budget is too small—because your story deserves to be documented with honesty and care.

What sets me apart is how I understand the weight of your day. As the oldest of ten children, I learned early how to read emotions, protect moments, and stay calm in beautifully chaotic environments. I document weddings quietly and intentionally—never forcing, never interrupting—so you can be fully present. With a documentary approach and an editorial eye, I focus on the moments you didn’t know anyone saw. Logistics, timelines, and hard-to-navigate locations don’t overwhelm me—they ground me. My goal is simple: to make you feel safe, seen, and free to feel everything.

Our cinematic highlight, start to finish. Multiple touchpoints to truly know you, a pre-session for vows or private messages, and rehearsal-dinner coverage to set the stage. Full-day coverage (10 hrs), with a 1-minute social highlight delivered within the week and a 4–8 minute highlight film of the whole weekend. The Content Engine is available as an add-on for next-day vertical content.

Our flagship — a full heirloom documentary. Interviews with family, grandparents, and close friends; filming at the places that shaped your story to depict your roots and values. Cinematic audio and lighting throughout. Priceless moments and stories from loved ones, woven into the celebration. Includes the full Content Engine: 10+ next-day vertical reels delivered with our partner Island Forge Studio.

Definitely! While we’re based in Dallas, Texas we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. I am fluent in Italian and have many contacts in Italy for all travel, location, vendor, and other resources should you need. I lived and worked throughout Italy for 8 years. If your wedding is over 50 miles outside the Dallas metropolitan area, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Absolutely. Reach out anytime to ask about our special pricing for elopements! Please note your elopement must have fewer than 10 total guests.
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings every year to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months in advance.
Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.
Yes we actually can and have a short outdoor wedding shot in the rain at a Florida State park we can share.
All footage we film is edited in-house by our incredible editing team (me: Joe Strong!)
No unfortunately not. We pride ourselves in quick turnaround (4 weeks), however due to the multiple cameras angles, professional audio remastering, drone footage, and family interviews, we take the necessary time to tell the story profoundly rather than superficially.
No, we’ll send a private link to share your final wedding video with you. Only people with that link will be able to see your video.
All of our wedding packages include at least two videographers with cinema cameras and one social media content videographer with quick turnaround video for sharing content on social media. Drone footage is included. If you’re having a larger wedding with 100 or more guests, we recommend booking an additional videographer to ensure we’re able to capture every moment of your special day.
