We don’t think of you as the client, we think of you as friends who want to share YOUR story with the world in a visual presence. “To be honest, I don’t like writing and directing films.     THE ABSOLUTE BEST

    MV Film Productions is the absolute best videographer team!! I could not have asked for a better person to film my special day. Matt is so kind, fun, and professional! He reassured me when I was getting stressed and released a gorgeous mini film within 48 hours basically! I would recommend him to every person getting married - he is amazing! :)

    Amazing!

    We were beyond thrilled with our choice of Matt as our wedding videographer on 9/21/24. From the very beginning, he was so easy to work with, and his positive, kind personality made the entire process enjoyable. We truly appreciated how he accommodated our budget without compromising on quality. Matt’s work is simply beautiful, and we can’t wait to see the footage from our special day. His attention to detail and creativity really shine through in his videos. We also had the pleasure of working with his second shooter, Nick, who was fantastic and added to the overall experience. What stood out the most was how much Matt genuinely cares about his craft and the couples he works with. During our initial meetings, he took the time to ask thoughtful questions to really get to know us, which made us feel valued and understood. Definitely! While we’re based in Meriden, Connecticut, we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. If your wedding is outside of CT boarders, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.
All footage we film is edited in-house by our owner, Matthew Van Ness and his editing partner Jessica Cowell.
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings every year to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months, sometimes even years in advance.
Coverage is not done by hour. We film as much as we feel is enough to tell your cinematic wedding story from start to finish.
We do not do any photography but do work with a bunch of amazing, talented artists all around Connecticut. If interested, let us know and we will be glad to recommend anyone of our friends!
We are always open to any input from our couples, but 99% of our couples trust our judgement and the selection of licensed soundtracks selected from numerous online websites that we belong to. Select Music Library, The Music Bed, and Triple Scoop Music are just a few to name.
Yes, together both our couples and MV Films own the rights to the films for both sharing online and at one to one meetings with potential new couples. This is discussed at all bridal meetings and again during a contract signing.
