Colson is a Los Angeles director and cinematographer. He shoots every wedding on 16mm or Super8 film, transforming each celebration into a love story reminiscent of old Hollywood – a love film. He pairs classic film with modern techniques to create a timeless moving picture that captures your day like no other.

He leans into the look of film, while pushing it to new depths in the editing room. The textures and colors of a vintage lens paired with his eye for framing transforms each moment into seamless parts of a larger magical story.

Once you know your wedding date, I recommend reaching out as soon as possible about my availability. I film a limited number of weddings every year to ensure couples receive the highest quality service, so my calendar typically fills up months in advance, but always worth reaching out!
They are similar in the look they give, 16mm is a larger format, so it comes out sharper. Super8 leans into the film look and often has a lot more texture. 8mm weddings capture all the warmth and intimacy of a home movie with soft grain, nostalgic glow and a timeless 4×3 aspect ratio. 16mm weddings are a cinematic retelling of your wedding day, with sharp images, beautiful colors, and a wide screen aspect ratio that captures grandeur.
