    I did 2 trials with Alyssa; both times were great, and the makeup lasted all day and felt really great on my face. The hair and makeup on everyone else also came out very nice and they all loved it. Reasoning for not giving 5 stars was due to wedding day. They arrived late which caused the rest of the day to fall behind and failed to inform me. There also seemed to be some miscommunication with my makeup but all ended up fine after asking to make the adjustments. My hair wasn't exactly what I wanted and felt a little rushed, but I wasn't going to let that ruin my day. A wedding timeline really starts with hair/makeup and if they are late and you don't have buffer time, it gets very frustrating. Would have been 5/5 if they were on time.

    After exploring the overwhelming number of HMUA on Instagram, I decided I’d like to work with Infinite Beauty. Their styles for hair and makeup, and the variety of clientele, felt like a good fit. I reached out and Alyssa was very helpful via email. After my trial I shared some feedback and on the day of she was good about taking that into account. I was worried as we had staggered times with 3 HMUA’s, 2 of which would be coming later as they had another booking that morning. They were a little behind which worried me, but I thought we would be ok timewise as we didn’t have too many photo to take before guest arrivals. Everyone worked quickly and I felt like we managed to catch up, though the groom did arrive as I was finishing hair and makeup and not yet ready for my photos. There was some communication issues at the end, as 2 of them left before I started taking photos - one of my lashes was falling off and one of our jr. bridesmaids had no makeup. In our previous discussions she had said it would be light makeup for the girls and this was told to everyone. She had overheard their mom saying she didn’t want makeup and didn’t do it, which upset me as no one informed me that this was happening. (I wasn’t going to force her to wear makeup, but it would’ve been nice to get the heads up instead of everyone telling me after that they’d left without doing it at all.) To her credit, Alyssa did offer a discount when I brought this up the following days and I really appreciated that. (Re: the lashes, I had very dry eyes after the trial so she tried a different glue on the day of.) Everyone looked beautiful and our looks all held up throughout the night. I would consider hiring this team again if the need came up.
