Owner

Ian's artistic passion started early in life through his creative pursuit of art, writing, and photography. Beginning with his study of film at the College of William & Mary, Ian found film production to be the ultimate craft that allows him to share powerful stories and images. Ian is supported by his beautiful wife Kathryn and three amazing children: Jameson, Ava, and Silas.

We craft every film we produce to present your unique wedding story. Our wedding films offer a polished cinematic style that results from a discreet method that captures candid moments and quality audio, an essential component of exceptional wedding filmmaking. Our consistent approach and passion for our work is continously recognized with some of the highest rated reviews in all of Virginia. Ian's Creations continues to be honored with multiple "Best Cinematography" awards from a host of publications and we have been producing wedding films in the Charlottesville area for over 20 years.

Absolutely. Reach out anytime to ask about our special pricing for elopements! Please note your elopement must have fewer than 10 total guests.
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings every year to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months in advance.
All footage we film is edited in-house by our incredible editing team.
Definitely! While we’re based in Charlottesville, Virginia, we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. If your wedding is over 100 miles outside of Charlottesville, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.
