Our Story Hello everyone. We are Matthew & Penny Garofalo, a husband and wife videography team based near Pittsburgh. We met during our time at Kent State University, fell in love shortly thereafter, and have been enjoying life together ever since. We married in an intimate elopement on the first day of Spring, 2018 and not long after celebrated our marriage among our closest family and friends. When we aren’t filming, we enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and snuggling our cats, Doug & Momo, and our pup, Halle.

    Carnation Films was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding video. From our first interaction, they were friendly, open, and honest, which immediately put us at ease. Their communication style was fantastic - they listened to our preferences and vision, and provided helpful guidance throughout the process. The quality of their work was truly impressive; they captured every detail of our special day with a creative and fun approach. They were not at all obtrusive, quietly blending into the background to film every moment. It was clear they were genuinely happy to be there and truly cared about making our wedding video something we would cherish forever. Definitely! While we’re based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. If your wedding is over 50 miles outside the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Absolutely. Reach out anytime to ask about our special pricing for elopements! Please note your elopement must have fewer than 10 total guests.
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings every year to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months in advance.
Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.
Unfortunately, we cannot film outdoors in the rain or other inclement weather conditions like snow and hail.
All footage we film is edited in-house by Matt and Penny!
We do not. We prefer to spend our energy and focus on filming during your wedding day and producing a high quality video over time rather than rushing to make one same-day.
You'll be the first to see your wedding video but we will possibly make your video public on our social media and website. We want to be able to show everyone your incredible story! That being said, if this is an issue we can make arrangements to keep your video private.
All of our wedding packages include two videographers, Matt and Penny! On the unlikely chance that one of us is sick or can't make it we do have a back up plan!
