About this venue

A cozy little winery in the middle of the city Ever wanted to go spend some time at a local winery but didn’t because it was such a long drive? We’ve fixed that for you. We’re in the heart of the Twin Cities metro in South Minneapolis. Our taproom is small but cozy, the perfect place for meeting up with friends, finding a gift for a family member, reading a book or getting together to play trivia. Curious about how we make wine or where we get fruit? We’ll tell you all about it. Everything we make here is from locally sourced fruit and is 100% gluten free. Our offerings include hard cider, mead, grape wine and eclectic fruit and vegetable wines. You can try them all in our taproom

Tasting Room

A cozy little winery in the middle of the city

Urban Forage Winery and Cider House lives on the Twin Cities' most diverse and eclectic street- East Lake. Our new tasting room is inviting and cozy. The building we occupy is over 100 years old and still has the original wood floors, tall windows and high ceilings of an early 20th century commercial building. We completely renovated everything in 2017, and are ADA accessible, with modern bathrooms and a beautiful bar constructed of a single slab of local elm. Our ciders and wines are as eclectic as our location. We produce dry English-style ciders and barrel-aged cysers as well as dandelion and rhubarb wines. We are also one of the few wineries in the Midwest to produce a true honey mead. We're glad to provide an alternative to breweries and farm wineries for your big event!
