The Lumen House is a private, luxurious, and modern wedding venue set on 50 acres of land just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. Our space can accommodate you and up to 200 of your favorite people to celebrate the wedding of your dreams.

The largest of our indoor venues is designed to be a blank canvas for your vision to come to life. When we envisioned The Lumen House, this was the space we envisioned most. Architectural details include large picture windows, a curved back wall, and high vaulted ceilings. The French doors open to the outside while overlooking the beautiful grounds and outdoor ceremony space.

The perfect spot for outdoor ceremonies or even cozy, yet elegant, cocktail hours in the Fall and Winter.

Our outdoor ceremony space includes ample room for seating and has two beautiful architectural focal points that anchor the space. A beautiful archway at one end and a grand yet cozy fireplace at the other, serving both function and style.     We had our wedding here and it was the most incredible experience. In the months leading up, the venue was super responsive, answered all my questions and helped me as I planned. On the wedding day, Izzy (the venue rep) was there at 10am right when we arrived. She made sure everything was setup perfectly. She worked with our coordinator and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of. It was the most perfect day and i would rebook them every time if i had to do it over again.

    AVOID AT ALL COST - DO NOT RUIN YOUR BEAUTIFUL DAY

    Based on our personal experience, I would strongly recommend being very cautious before booking this venue. During the initial walkthrough, the venue appeared professional and welcoming, and we were led to believe it would be an ideal place for our wedding. Unfortunately, our experience after signing the contract was very different. We encountered significant challenges regarding communication, flexibility, and the handling of our deposit, which was not returned despite ongoing disputes. We felt considerable pressure to use the venue’s preferred vendors. When we chose to bring in outside vendors, multiple vendors later shared with us that they had difficult interactions with the venue’s management team. These challenges contributed to unnecessary stress leading up to and during our wedding. In our experience, communication from the owner and management continued even during our honeymoon and afterward, raising concerns and issues that we believed had already been addressed or were unsupported. Some claims made by the venue did not align with our own documentation. Fortunately, we had extensive photo and video coverage of the event, which helped us verify what actually occurred. As a couple and family of color, we felt uncomfortable with certain interactions and how situations were handled. While this was our personal experience, it significantly affected how we remember our wedding day. Prospective couples should also be aware that social media content may not fully reflect the operational or management experience. We encourage anyone considering this venue to ask detailed questions, carefully review contracts, and speak directly with past clients like me and vendors before committing. If anyone is considering booking this venue, willing to share our experience, including documented communication, so they can make an informed decision. Lastly, they reached out to take money from the decorator's insurance company without keeping us in the loop even after telling us we need to use our insurance to cover alleged repair costs for pre-existing damages in their venue.

    From Vision to Reality at Lumen House

    When my husband and I booked this venue for our wedding, the property was still under construction and existed only as a vision brought to life through renderings. Looking back, I’m so grateful we trusted that vision because we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect location! This venue offers a timeless, romantic setting that truly enhances the vision for your wedding day. Its design, private location, and intimate layout made it the ideal spot for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding. What truly set it apart, though, was the incredible team at Lumen House. Our experience with them was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we first toured the property to the final moments of our wedding day, it felt like they were genuinely rooting for us, and they treated us like family. If you’re considering a venue, book with Lumen House—you won’t regret it!
