About this venue

The Barn at Bull Run is a newly renovated wedding and event space. Originally built in 1933 as a dairy barn, The Barn at Bull Run was owned by Schwab Dairy until it was purchased by the Presbytery of Peoria as well as the surrounding land in the fall of 1967. The Morton Park District now owns the property and has completely restored and renovated the space into a beautiful wedding venue, complete with a ceremony space, reception space, bridal suite, and grooms suite. The venue can hold a max capacity of 250 people.

Reception Space

This space is the perfect space to eat, dance, and enjoy your big day! With a max. capacity of 250 people, we can't wait to celebrate with you!

This room is around 6,000 square feet and can hold a maximum capacity of 250 people. There are restrooms right around the corner, and a full kitchen fit for most catering services! We offer both 8ft long tables and 6ft round tables to create the perfect table layout for your wedding reception!

Ceremony Space

A beautiful church sanctuary setting to host your perfect wedding ceremony, complete with an incredible stained glass window.

This space is around 6,000 square feet and can seat up to 250 people. There is a bridal suite and grooms suite just down the hall for easy access to the ceremony. This space is able to be decorated to your liking, and includes an incredible stained glass window display at the front of the room.

    The Perfect Venue For Us!!!

    The Barn at Bull Run was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the beginning, their communication was timely, they were always available to answer our questions, and the staff was incredibly kind throughout the entire process. The newly renovated barn was absolutely beautiful, we loved getting to put up our own decor in the space. I love that the ceremony and reception were all in the same place, which made it really convenient for everyone. The venue provides so much for you, including a getting ready room for bride and groom as well as, a kitchen for caterers, and even an elevator and sound system for your DJ. Everything you could need!! The venue had a spacious layout that provided ample room for our 150 or so guests, and everyone had a blast! The team at The Barn at Bull Run went above and beyond to ensure our special day went smoothly, and they were readily available to help with any questions or requests we had. We are so grateful to have celebrated our wedding in such a stunning, well-maintained space!!

Yes, self-parking is available in the parking lot located directly next to our facility.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main entrance and an elevator. Both the ceremony and reception spaces are fully accessible.
Our starting rental fee includes the venue, all tables and chairs, our built-in sound system, use of the kitchen, and use of both of the bridal suites.
Your booking includes 4 hours on Friday, all day Saturday, and 2 hours on Sunday. Hours may vary if you are booking your wedding for a Friday.
Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. We require a deposit at the time of reservation, and then the remaining balance at 90 days prior to your wedding day.
No, we do not allow lit flames within the facility. All LED or battery operated candles will be allowed.
The maximum capacity for both the ceremony and reception space is 250.
No, we do not provide linens. Those will need to be rented separately. Our venue coordinator can give you some recommendations if interested.
Yes, at the time of rental, you will coordinate with our venue coordinator on the table and chair layout you would prefer. Our staff will make sure the set-up is complete ahead of time.
Yes, our rental contract gives you access to The Barn at Bull Run on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You can utilize these times for any or all events if you wish to do so.
No, we do not limit catering options. You can use any caterer you would like, or you can bring the food in yourself. This goes for dessert as well.
