About this venue

Grace Lutheran Church was organized on February 2, 1888, with 18 charter members. It was notable for being the first “English” church, with services in English rather than Swedish, in the Augustana Synod. Connections to Augustana College were strong, and services were held at Augustana’s chapel in the early years of the church.

English church style unique space

Skylark QC is located in historic Rock Island, Skylark is Quad City's new and unique Performance and Event Venue. Notable for being the first “English” church, this Grace Lutheran Church was organized on February 2, 1888. Skylark has been run by an East Moline native since 2007. The church has great acoustic, perfect for recording local singers and bands. But it's also a unique space for a wedding reception and parties. The space can host about 170 guests.
