About this venue

Built in 1914 as a Vaudeville theater, the Mineral Point Opera House was restored in 2009. It is both a movie theater and a live stage with music and theater events throughout the year. It is available to rent for wedding ceremonies with up to 380 guests. We can customize our stage lighting to set the perfect scene, pull out our 1930s Steinway piano to play the wedding march, and open our concession stand to serve popcorn and drinks!

No, alcohol must be purchased through the Opera House.
There is plenty of free street parking and free public parking lots near the venue.
Yes, our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We have accessible restrooms and accessible seating in the theater. The front entrance of the theater is all one level.
Stage, Main Floor, Green Room, Lobby and restrooms for the duration of the rental period. Basic stage lighting and house lighting.
If notice of cancellation is received more than 90 days in advance of the rental date, Renter will receive a 50% refund of the Hold-Date Rental Deposit paid. If notice is received between 90 days and 15 days before the rental date, the entire Hold-Date Rental Deposit is forfeited. If received within 14 days of the rental date, the entire Rental Fee is forfeited.
Yes, all rentals require that the renter provide proof of liability insurance. If the renter does not already have a current liability policy in place, Opera House will facilitate the purchase of insurance through the Francis L Dean & Associates LLC Special Events Insurance program.
