About this venue

Established in 1996, the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery is a staple of the Adirondack craft beer scene. Located at 813 Mirror Lake Drive, it is famous for its award-winning "Ubu Ale" and its multi-level dining experience overlooking Mirror Lake. The brewery has produced over 150 styles of beer, but it is best known for Ubu Ale, an English-style Brown Ale that famously caught the attention of President Bill Clinton in 2000.

The private event space is the Hop Loft (3rd Floor): Buffet Style: Up to 50 guests. Cocktails & Apps: Up to 60 guests. Note: For larger weddings, you would likely need to look at nearby full-service resorts (like High Peaks Resort or Golden Arrow).
They offer a dedicated event menu that differs from the standard pub menu: Food: Options typically include buffet-style setups with sliders, wings, pasta, or more formal plated options upon request. Bar: You can run a consumption tab (host bar), a cash bar, or set a pre-paid limit. You can also feature a "signature beer" like Ubu Ale or 46'er Pale Ale.
For the main floors, it is first-come, first-served. However, for the Hop Loft, you must book in advance. Lead Time: It is recommended to reach out at least 3–6 months in advance, especially for summer and fall "leaf peeper" wedding weekends. Availability: Private bookings are subject to availability and often require a food and beverage minimum.
