Cannot Recommend

We had our wedding here Feb. 2026. When we first signed the contract, it was because the venue was absolutely beautiful, downtown Fort Lauderdale, on the intercoastal, etc. and Victoria, the wedding coordinator leading everything was amazing. She was very accommodating and super flexible; willing to work with us on the best wedding package possible. If she didn't have the answer, she'd go and find the solution. Then she left for another career opportunity, and when the staff that took over from there, the level of customer service, responsiveness, and attention to detail took a NOSEDIVE. I could write an essay on everything that happened, but this has to be kept short. Lots of things we were communicating to them weren't being documented or remembered on their side (despite us documenting emails, phone calls, etc.). Responses were very delayed. We weren't getting answers to questions. If they couldn't accommodate something, they didn't offer alternatives. It felt like we were suddenly no longer a priority, despite us spending over 20K with them for our special day. We lost complete trust and confidence in the team to deliver and we were very concerned some things would be missing or go wrong the day of our wedding, and that in fact was the case. So many operational and logistical breakdowns happened, we were surprised the wedding didn't have serious disruptions. The wedding felt like it was "duct taped" together, barely hanging on, with all of the mishaps from the Hilton staff. Things we asked for weren't delivered. When we asked staff for help, they were dismissive, gave excuses for why things were happening, and didn't try to actively find solutions. There was no clear handoff between the hotel's planning team and the actual staff that worked the wedding, therefore so many things got mixed up on our wedding day or didn't happen. We escalated the issue to the property manager after the wedding, and they sort of provided remedies in the form of a credit, but we had to pull teeth with them to resolve that and the billing stuff to the point that we finally snapped after everything that culminated and threatened to involve corporate. Everything "suddenly" start working smoothly from there. At this point, it was a beautiful venue location, but we simply cannot recommend this location for a wedding. There is clear dysfunction with the staff that handles weddings there and it's not worth the headache.
