Located in the heart of downtown, our space is nestled within the historic 1874 Briggs Building and features original hardwood floors, a stunning pressed tin ceiling, and other unique architectural details. Lobby Gallery (1st Floor)
Perfect for cocktail hour and dancing.
The Lobby Gallery can accommodate up to 60 guests for a cocktail setting and 50 guests for a seated event. The Lobby Gallery is included at no extra charge when renting the A.J. Fletcher Gallery. The Lobby Gallery is most often used for cocktail hours, wedding ceremonies, dance floor and socializing away from the main event.

An ideal backdrop for your special occasion.
The A.J. Fletcher Gallery can accommodate up to 150 guests for a cocktail setting and 120 guests for a seated event. The main gallery provides the ideal backdrop for special occasions such as receptions, semi-formals, rehearsal dinners and cocktail parties.

When you rent the City of Raleigh Museum for 8 hours you have the building to yourself from 4pm to midnight. Our lower-level classroom space is open to you from 1pm on your wedding day while the museum is open to the public. Museum staff will be available throughout your rental. Hire your favorite food and beverage vendors, bring a playlist, and party the night away in the middle of downtown Raleigh!
