About this venue

Carper Winery is a rural venue just minutes from the Metro! The property comprises of 40 acres, complete with not only the Venue but a lush Vineyard, Willow trees, two ponds and tall golden prairie grass. Outdoor ceremony lawn with Pergola. Ceremony site overlooks the large pond, vineyard and beautiful hillside to create a picturesque backdrop. Guests will enjoy the outdoor patio lounge space during your welcome hour, cocktail hour, and well into the evening when the sun sets and the bistro lights create the perfect outdoor space. The climate controlled indoor space can seat up to 300 of your friends and family members to enjoy a beautiful dinner in your honor. The space is set with an overlooking mezzanine and loft to create a very intimate feeling for your event. Complete with bistro lights and chandeliers for the perfect ambiance as you enjoy your first dance as Husband and Wife.

    Wedding Review

    I cannot rave enough about Carper Winery! The services Tracy and her staff provided resulted in a smooth and successful wedding day. We received professional, prompt, and courteous services throughout the whole process. Bartender staff was top notch! We had both our wedding and reception in the winery. The transition between the two events was seamless and easy. Tracy showed her experience by suggesting a fitting table set up, and offered help with choosing beer/wine/hosted drinks. On the day of, she had the winery open on time, perfectly clean and ready to go for us to decorate. The bridal and groom suites were an extremely convenient add in. It made the morning a little less chaotic! She also recommended several outside services who we were able to connect with to complete our day and have a beautiful wedding! Thank you so much Carper Winery!

    Wedding Venue

    Carper’s is great! Tracy and her team made planning our wedding so easy! Prompt communication and listened to what we wanted! Even went above and beyond to reach out with questions needed. Our wedding day went so smooth and I felt there was nothing to worry about that day because the team they have made it so. Thank you Carper! 10/10 recommend!

    Amazing Venue

    Tracy at Carper Winery is a joy to work with and the space it gorgeous. So easy to work with, great location, and the outside view is amazing. You can't go wrong.


Yes, we have self-parking for up to 150 vehicles.
No, as we provide all liquor license, liability and insurance - no outside alcohol is allowed at our space or in the parking lot.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We have thresholds at each of the door access points, that one may require assistance to get over the small lip at the doors.

Your reservation includes 8am arrival through 12-midnight departure. Bar will close at 11pm. Music will cease at 11pm.

Yes, we have partnered with 4 hotels within 15 min of our venue. These hotels also offer a shuttle service to our space. 2 hotels near the airport - 15 min 2 hotels in West Des Moines shopping hub - 15 min
Although we DO NOT require wedding insurance or liability coverage from our renters. We DO require One off duty deputy for each of our events with over 100 guest. We are happy to hire this individual for you. We also highly recommend an Event Certificate through your insurance agent. These policies are very inexpensive ($10-$100) to have thousands of dollars in coverage in case of incidentals.
