About this venue

Bellevue State Park offers a variety of gorgeous venues for weddings, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and more. The relaxed and flexible spaces provide a clear canvas on which to create your dream event. The unique hour glass shape of the Figure 8 Barn was designed by William duPont, Jr. as an indoor horse training facility. The estate was purchased by the State of Delaware in 1976. Enclosed on three sides, the Music Garden is a peaceful oasis while still maintaining access to all that the park has to offer. The timeless stone patio with scattered wrought iron tables and chairs is shaded by a large veranda supporting a trailing wisteria vine. Take a step back in time at the Mount Pleasant Meeting House. A restored sanctuary with stained glass windows and walnut pews, the meeting house offers a simple, & tranquil setting. For questions regarding availability and park policies please give us a call.

The relaxed, open layout of this property presents flexibility on size as well as endless creative options for an out of the ordinary event. With 32,000 square feet of open space that can accommodate more than 3,000 guests, the Figure 8 Barn includes a raised dance floor and stage, a long hallway that provides a blank canvas for unique decorating ideas, and large bay doors for easy access of oversized equipment, themed ornaments, and trade show displays.

Yes. As a part of the Delaware State Park system there is a fee of $4 (in state vehicles), or $8 (out of state vehicles) to enter the park. Please discuss options related to parking fees for your event with your event coordinator.

Our facility requires a 50% deposit to hold your date which is nonrefundable. The remainder of your balance is due 60 days in advance of your event. Please contact your event coordinator with questions regarding your event at (302) 761-6952.

As a raw space venue, you are provided the opportunity to make the space totally your own. The flexibility of the space allows for a completely customizable experience for you and your guests. Everything from tables, chairs, flatware, glassware, china, and décor is usually brought in by the wedding party or a rental company. We do, however, provide rental options for some large décor items (e.g. arches or ceremony back drops, wine barrels, etc.) and your rental includes optional use of picnic or patio tables in certain venues.

The Figure 8 and Hunter Barns do not have heat or air conditioning. The Music Garden is entirely outdoors and is similarly not climate controlled. The Mount Pleasant Meeting House and Parsonage is climate controlled.

No, our venues do not provide kitchen facilities.

No, you are able to select your own vendors. A list of vendors in the area and those who have worked in the park previously is available upon request.
