She Turned A Nightmare Into Our Dream Wedding

Dee and her amazing team are truly unmatched. Dee’s exceptional expertise, unique skill set, and extensive network transformed what could have been a nightmare into the wedding we had always dreamed of. I spent months researching wedding planners across multiple platforms, but unfortunately, I initially signed a contract with someone who was unable to fulfill her responsibilities. With just two months to go before our wedding, none of the details had been finalized, and I still hadn’t received any quotes from my planner for essential design vendors, including florals, rentals, and draping. I ended up terminating that contract and frantically posted on all the SoCal wedding forums looking for a new planner. Within 30 minutes, I was on the phone with Dee on a Friday evening, figuring out the next steps. Long story short, Dee literally saved us. She made our Nigerian-American wedding the best day of our lives. She was always available for communication, even on her birthday. Being out of state, I needed someone I could fully trust, and Dee went above and beyond in every way. She provided a sense of relief in the months leading up to the wedding and was my calming presence on the big day. Every vendor she recommended was exceptional. Dee’s team also helped create all the graphics, monograms, programs, menus, itineraries, and printed materials. Her additional team members on the wedding day were phenomenal. Dianna was by my side throughout the day, helping with anything I needed—from holding my bouquet to keeping the timeline on track. Dee navigated all the cultural aspects of our wedding with care and understanding, ensuring that every tradition was honored beautifully. She brought our completely off-track planning back on course and expertly managed all vendors. Dee truly is the glue that holds everything together. Her recommendation to use parasol umbrellas for shade during our outdoor photos on a bright, sunny Californian day made all the difference. She also proactively removed our card box after guests arrived to prevent any risk of theft, demonstrating remarkable attention to detail and foresight. There are countless other little things I could mention to exemplify how amazing Dee is at what she does. But what stands out most is who she is as a person and how she treats everyone around her. During those two months of planning, Dee made me feel like family—not just another bride on her list. Thank you, Dee and team, for your undivided time, attention, and care, which made our wedding day a truly magical experience that we will forever cherish.

Planning a wedding is a feat few people in this world can accomplish with the same level of grace and effectiveness as Dee Lee. Coordinating events contain a range of difficulties, whether you’re throwing corporate events, kids birthday parties, or weddings, within each is a spectrum of complexities and moving pieces that requires a certain kind of individual, one who can mold these shapeshifting inspirations, ideas, and concepts into a living breathing event that sets those there to experience it up for the ultimate success for such an undertaking: a banging party. That is what Mrs. Dee Lee of Dee Lee Designs was able to accomplish this for my wife and I in just 10 short months before our wedding. From our very first meeting, we were sure we wanted Dee to be our planner. Her professionality and affirmative attitude brought us comfort in knowing that even if we didn’t know anything about weddings, it was ok, because Dee had it covered. Proficient with florals, artistic design, vendors, dance instructors, thematic elements, and a certainty of procedure and process made us feel like we could sit back, relax, and let Dee handle the show. I’m a go with the flow kind of guy; details, plans, and timelines are really not my bag, but my wife Rachel may just be the most organized person on planet Earth. Where I procrastinate, she anticipates, where I forget, she remembers, and when I don’t have the answer to something, I’d better go and find the heck out, because when that stress is at her door, it’s ringing my clock with an alarm louder than a tornado siren. Enter Dee, the perfect person to handle each issue, each potential detail that my beautiful wife would anticipate, Dee fielded with grace and suave. When we had an issue, Dee locked things down, got things sorted, and helped take stressors off our plate every single time. With each passing month, my wife thought of every detail, every consideration, and every single possible little thing that could possibly go wrong or that we needed to consider for the wedding, and yet it still felt like Dee was one step ahead of us at every juncture, knowing how to answer those burning questions, and giving us the time, care, and attention we needed to feel comfortable moving forward with a 90 person wedding. No, actually a 110 person wedding, actually, forgot to invite some of the people from Tuscon… A 130 person wedding. Jeez. Without blinking an eye, our party added another 40 people, and we still had room to improvise and adapt, because Dee Lee is never off her feet, never caught off guard, and never misses a beat. Safe to say, my wife and I are exceptionally happy with Dee and her team, as it was because of their efforts that we were able to have the best day of our lives. From Rachel getting ready in the morning for the ceremony, to our first look, our reception room reveal, and more… Dee was ahead of the ball on every turn. Like a D1 receiver who just never dropped a single catch, Dee helmed that special day and had it running like a greased up engine, all purr, and no hiccups. If you’re reading this, and you need a wedding planner that has the knowhow, fortitude and perspective to get things done, there really isn’t anyone out there who can get the job done better than Dee Lee.

Dee Lee was instrumental during the entire wedding journey. We had the honour of being Dee's First Disney wedding clients and that distinction came with excitement and challenges. Dee and her team took care of all of the impossibilities such as turning around the reception location in less than an hour from the earlier wedding, to handling the delicate details of the hidden mickeys, to coordinating special care for the groom's mother, and making sure the bride and groom had everything we needed. Dee brought her experience from countless weddings to bring our fairytale to life.

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner than Dee from the moment we reached out to her, we knew we were in great hands. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but Dee and her team made everything so much easier. Communication was seamless from start to finish. She was available to answer questions, offered expert advice, and never made us feel like we were bothering her (even with last-minute changes!). We loved how organized she was, which gave us confidence every step of the way. What really stood out was how Dee helped us bring our dream wedding vision to life. We had a pretty unique theme in mind, and Dee took it and ran with it—suggesting creative ideas we never would’ve thought of ourselves.
