With Love + Embers

We are Ryan + Jillian, a husband and wife photography team. We fell into wedding photography after our own wedding when Ryan's best man/cousin Sean passed away. Receiving our wedding photos while helping plan the funeral was the greatest gift we could have ever gotten. At that moment, fully understanding just how fleeting life truly is, that started our love affair with wedding photography. We love how wedding photography does not have to be corny or grossly over staged. It can be candid, genuine, and provide amazing couples with images that they will cherish for a lifetime.

    I cannot explain how amazing this husband and wife team are! Jillian and Ryan were an absolute dream to work with. Hands down our favorite vendors!! So easy to work with and their photography skills are out of this world. We will cherish our pictures forever. And they couldn't be more down to earth. They're fun, warm, passionate, responsive, talented, creative... I could go on and on! They captured us as a couple perfectly. We have received so many compliments on how beautiful our photos turned out and how awesome our photographers were! We are so thrilled that we picked Jillian + Ryan for our photographers. I could not recommend them enough!

    Truly the best

    You can't do better than Ryan and Jill. They were very responsive and communicative from the start. They are incredibly down to earth people that feel like they've been your friends for years. Don't worry about being awkward in front of the camera with them. They don't pose you, but they have little games you play with your partner that put you two in the love zone for them to expertly capture. They excel at capturing raw emotion and telling the natural (unposed) story of your wedding day. I found it so hard to narrow down which prints we put into an album and printed to display in our home because photo after photo was so beautiful. Their work is pure art. We cannot recommend these two enough!

    One of my favorite photographers to work with

    As a wedding planner, I love recommending Jillian and Ryan of With Love and Embers to my clients. The duo are insanely talented which is clear in their photos. But they're also easy to work with, provide a ton of guidance to their clients along the way, and show up ready and prepared for just about anything. They have an energy that is calming, yet exciting. And they never fail to blow me away with their images.

    Making photos fun

    I'll never forget the moment they asked my now husband to whisper the names of vegetables in his sexiest voice in my ear. His response "hot lettuce". I couldn't stop laughing and the result was authentic, beautiful, moments rather than uncomfortable posed photographs. I loved working with Ryan and Jill. Having them at our micro-wedding felt more like an extension of our friends and family and less like just another vendor. They were kind, thoughtful, and did a great job with our photographs. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thanks Ryan and Jill!

    They don't just take pictures...

    Several years ago I had the privilege to see behind the curtain to just how magical the portrait process and experience is with Jillian + Ryan of With Love & Embers. We were all working together on a progressive elopement that occurred in parts along a waterfall hike, so in between the stop for vows, or exchanging of rings, I got to see how they create comfortable and visually powerful photos with their couples. Nobody was feeling awkward or posed, Jillian + Ryan have a way about them that builds rapport and trust with their couples--people know that the photographer thinks they are beautiful...the setting is beautiful...their connection and relationships are beautiful and worthy of fine photography. In all the years that I've watched photographers work and also my experience being photographed, I can't stress how important it is for the people being photographed to not only feel comfortable but also feel confident that they are at their best. With Love & Embers is one of my favorite photography teams, they don't just take pictures, they create beautifully composed moments of connection and then photograph that!
