HI, I'M EMMA. I'm a lover of animals (dogs and elephants, especially), sunny beaches, early mornings, and a great cup of coffee. Oh, and capturing magical, authentic images of you! My work is best described as classic, emotive, lifestyle photography and I edit learning towards a bright and airy feel. My ultimate goal is for your photos to feel like you - as your best self. I use prompts and poses in my work, but mostly just to snap a photo of the in-between moments and the laughs that come from them.

I find that I'm different from other photographers because I aim to deliver naturally lit beautiful images, but don't believe that my clients need to be in formal wear, or have an important event to justify a photo session! Our lives have big milestone moments - and I love capturing them - but it's the day to day habits, giggles, and love that make up our lives. If you feel like your best self in jeans and a t-shirt, I encourage you to wear that to your session! Love sitting on your front porch at sunrise with your partner? Let's photograph it!     Emma is AMAZING.

    I'm not sure where to even begin with singing Emma's praises. Hiring Emma was easily one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. Her warmth, sense of humor, professionalism, and clear passion for what she does elevated an already amazing day. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and worked hard to ensure that we could enjoy our time with loved ones instead of just posing for pictures all night. And the pictures came out perfectly - she's so talented at what she does. I genuinely want to have another wedding just so we can work with Emma again. I can't recommend her highly enough - she is a dream wedding photographer. Thank you, Emma :)

    Amazing Wedding Photographer

    Emma and her partner Dev were truly incredible wedding photographers. They guided our bridal party and family with ease! They captured the best candid shots and portraits and didn't miss a moment! Our wedding day was on the brink of rain and they managed each moment with no worries, and even were able to get the best shots in the pouring rain! Can not recommend enough!

    Emma is incredible!

    My husband and I got married on July 6, 2024. The week following our wedding, we blissfully rehashed the events of the day. One common statement we uttered was “wow, Emma is such a pro”. We are beyond thankful that we hired her. Emma arrived early and worked meticulously all night long. She seemed to be everywhere at once, and at the same time, completely blended into the magic of the day. She was able to command my family of 60 into a group shot in a matter of moments, captured intimate moments during which we didn’t know she was there, and somehow kept everyone on schedule. She is the definition of professional – listening to our desires for the day, ensuring we got all the shots we wanted, and making it all flow seamlessly. On top of this, she delivered a fully edited shot of my husband and I the morning after our wedding and a very generous sneak peak within 5 days. We cannot wait to see the full gallery. If you want a PRO photographing one of the biggest days of your life, hire Emma. I would also like to shout out Isora Lithgow, who was Emma’s second shooter, and did a fantastic job. We loved having both Emma and Isora as part of our wedding day.

    Emma was the MVP of our wedding!

    I cannot sing Emma's praises enough. From our initial communication, to our engagement session, to our entire wedding day, Emma felt more like a friend than a photographer (in the best possible way). She made us feel so comfortable from the jump while also taking the most stunning photos. On our wedding day, she was our #1 hype woman and made the posed portrait experience so fun and quick.     Emma is amazing and her work is phenomenal!

    My husband and I had such an pleasant and professional experience working with Emma at The Great Blue Photo Co. Not only did she manage to make my usually ill at ease husband comfortable in front of the camera, but the finished products were magazine worthy. At our first session where we got to know each other, Emma genuinely got to know us and what we wanted, and also helped us work through common poses for the later ceremony and reception. She made us feel very comfortable and was so patient while we learned how to work with her camera. Emma is the kindest soul and is extremely dedicated and professional when it comes to her work. The final photos came out better than I could ever have imagined, and her editing skills are gorgeous. She managed to capture amazing candid moments, and beautiful portraits as well. We will cherish the photos she took for the rest of our lives. Could not recommend more and you will not be disappointed if you work with her!

Yes! I often use second shooters or assistants on a wedding day, depending on the size of the wedding, request of the couple, or the timeline for the day.
Yes! I hand-edit each photo that I deliver to you.
No, I don't currently offer video services. I've worked with many talented videographers, though, and am happy to recommend someone to you!
Most of my couples receive sneak peek images within 72 hours and a final gallery within 8 weeks.
It depends on the location of your event. I don't charge within a certain radius to me - but for excessive travel I do charge to cover my costs!
