About The Dropped Pin

Sam & Kyle

Elopement Photographers

Hey new friends! We’re Sam + Kyle elopement photographers splitting our time between the PNW and the SW in our RV. It takes a whole lot of badassery to make the decision to elope and we are very into that kind of energy. We believe in making memories and images that capture all of the big feelings, and the in-between moments that you want to relive over and over again. You know, the kind of photos that hang on your wall and make ya smile real big because you remember exactly how you felt in that moment. We are so glad that you’re here and can’t wait to run wild with you.

Booking your elopement with us means that you get access to all of our resources including our hefty elopement planning guide, questionnaires built to help you craft the most intentional day ever, calls to help you plan and get real comfy with us, plus a whole lot more in addition to two cheerleaders that will protect the vibe of your day with the ferocity of a mother bear protecting her cubs. Oh yeah, and we’ll make sure you have images that let you relive every moment of your day. Basically, we ride for you, we die for you, we take bomb photos of you.

Sam and Kyle make an incredible creative team! We got in touch with them after a surprise elopement and were interested in them shooting our reception party. They excel in the elopement category as I am sure you can see from their epic portfolio, but they were just as amazing through the entire process and day of our reception. As with many couples these past few years, we needed to postpone our party for a year and a half before we could gather safely. Sam and Kyle kept in contact regularly and let us know we weren't alone. They provided some amazing guides and so much support while we worked through the challenges of planning throughout a pandemic and busy schedules. They have put so much thought and time into every aspect of their business and making sure their clients have a comfortable and beautiful experience when they work with The Dropped Pin. They encouraged us to sit down intentionally and to find time to go through the questionnaires together and it ended up making for some beautifully connected moments for me and my partner in the midst of everything else. This was all just in the lead-up to the day of! Sam and Kyle were punctual and showed up with plenty of time to get a lay of the venue while everything was still quiet. Like any "well-planned" event, everything ended up being behind schedule. This didn't phase Sam or Kyle, they just kept smiling and keeping everyone at ease, they truly did make herding cats look effortless! Now for the really good stuff, the photos. OMG, THE PHOTOS! Stunning. Breathtaking. Flawless. They were prompt with a sneak peek and final delivery and we are still taken aback at what they were able to capture. Having Sam and Kyle as a part of our day was the best decision we ever could have made. Friends are obsessed with them and the photos they took so I really hope we will get an excuse to work with them again one day!

I can't say enough good things about Kyle and Sam. My wife, who is trans, and I really wanted to find someone who would be sensitive and respectful of our unique relationship and our non unique wedding(I'm Native American and Irish and so we had those elements in our wedding). Hit the jackpot! While they let us know up front that they hadn't worked with a trans couple before they also let us know that they firmly believe that love is love and they just want to capture our happiness and our day for us. They made my wife feel comfortable which is saying a lot since she had just come out as trans a couple months ago and she absolutely hated photos. They make a great team with Sam doing most of the communication and Kyle taking the lead on the photos(they both shot photos). Sam is a bundle of energy that has one focus-making things go smoothly and making sure you're happy. Kyle has an artistic point of view that clearly comes across in their finished products of being superb. They were great at dealing with last minute snafu's and helping me navigate everything. Their photos are absolutely brilliant and we could not be more happy with them. In fact, we are planning on hiring them again for our one year anniversary when we invite our family and friends since we didn't have a big wedding due to covid. While some people will be a bit concerned about their price, they absolutely are worth every single penny. Their professionalism, their personalities, and their work simply can't be matched. Thank you Sam and Kyle!

Sam & Kyle have been such a joy to get to watch work with other couples. Having a husband and wife team is special to begin with, but Sam and Kyle especially have a way of making couples feel comfortable and in charge of their wedding days without being distracting. These two are absolute gems as humans beings, but their technical skills in photography just take the experience to a whole new level. Sam and Kyle pour their hearts and souls into helping couples plan every portion of their day as well as into every ounce of hand-editing they do to each couple's gallery. The Dropped Pin offers a truly invaluable experience that every couple deserves on their wedding day. If I had my wedding day to do all over again, these two would no doubt be my photographers, my planning guides, and my support system on the most important day of my life.
