Hello! My name's Mariah Sterling Handlon. I started Sterling Expression Photography in 2016 and must say, I LOVE MY JOB! I have worked in the wedding industry since 2012 and studied photoshop in school before a friend pushed me towards the logical next step of a career in photography. I specialize in weddings and take pride in helping couples have a stress-free day and capturing the beauty of their big day! In addition to weddings, I LOVE shooting families, maternity, newborns, events, seniors, pets and more. I strive to be creative while keeping clients happy and comfortable.

    Wedding Photography

    We had such a great experience working with Mariah at Sterling Expression. From our first conversation, she was easy to talk to and really listened to what we wanted for our photos. On the day of our wedding, she went above and beyond—when I had an issue with my dress, she stepped in and fixed it without hesitation. Her photos turned out beautiful and she clearly cares about capturing real moments, not just posed shots. Mariah was reliable throughout the whole process and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.     You're making a mistake if you hire someone else.

    There are a few local photographers who are talented. There are a few who are reliable. There are a few who are a joy to be around. Mariah is one of the only ones that manages to be all three. Her work is heartfelt, crisp, and colorful. She is a clear communicator, easy to work with, and does what she says she's going to do. I've hired her for more projects than I can count and would do so a hundred times over again.
