Nice to meet you! I’m Roy. I wasn’t always a wedding photographer. Honestly, I avoided it for a little bit. “Big mistake – Huge.” 7 years in and wedding photography has changed my life, for the best. I used to be an art director in advertising. I actually picked up a camera just to teach myself how to effectively communicate to photographers we hired for projects. That camera in my hand slowly became my addiction. I spent over two years going into Chicago every night and day off to learn from every photographer I could meet. I was great in advertising, but not passionate about it and a little overworked. Then it happened...

I took a wedding, probably my 3rd or 4th wedding as a lead and the bride calls me in tears, like I couldn’t understand what she was saying tears. I'm your typical guy so I thought: “F***, I ruined this couples wedding and they straight up can’t get those memories back.” A few minutes go by and she’s finally able to communicate “I had no idea my husband looked at me like that when I wasn’t looking at him.” After that, my perspective was entirely different, wedding photographs are MORE than photographs. These photographs are storytelling once in a life time moments. As your wedding photographer I’ll be your personal story teller.
