I'm Amanda Mouw. I’m so glad you’re here! After a life-long love of photography, I began formal training more than 10 years ago as a way to capture better images of my children and travels. Soon after, Mouw Photography was born, where my love of weddings, family portraits, maternity and newborn photography grew into a specialty.

To me, photography is timeless. Done right, a picture can capture a moment in such a way that the feelings - joy, excitement, love - are felt long after it's taken. Photography is also incredibly personal. My goal with clients is to create images they’re proud to hang on their walls for years to come. In fact, nothing makes me happier. To make that happen, we’ll sit down together so I’m able to learn more about you, your taste in photography, and the overall feeling you’re hoping to capture. That’s where the magic happens.

    Great to work with!

    Amanda was wonderful to work with from the first time we messaged. We were excited that Amanda was eager and more than willing to include our dog in our day of shots since he's such a big part of our lives. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable throughout the process of planning and day-of. We also booked an additional engagement shoot with Amanda and she wasn't afraid to make it special- even in the cold temps and snow. We'd absolutely recommend Amanda and would love to work with her again.

    Amanda is the best! She shot our engagement photos and was very accommodating. She provided direction throughout and I felt comfortable throughout the entire experience.     Loved working with Amanda!

    From our first conversation, we knew Mouw Photography was the right choice for us. Amanda responded quickly to all our questions and she was genuinely interested in hearing our ideas about what we wanted captured from our engagement shoot to the wedding day. I later used her for maternity photos as well. Her photos are stunning! She nailed both the candid moments and the posed shots. Amanda is so personable and was great with our entire wedding party.     Amazing from start to finish!

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-10 weeks after your wedding. You'll also receive a sneak peek gallery within 24 hours of your event containing 20-40 edited images.
In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a short time frame.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
My second shooter will be equipped with an iphone and myself with Rayban Meta glasses to catch lots of behind the scenes snippets throughout the day so the next day you can relive your day and even post to socials if you'd like!
