I'm Mariela, a traveling Elopement + wedding Photographer. I live in Riverside, California, and have traveled and explored since pursuing my photographic journey for over 15 years. I am intentional and detail-oriented with my work, as much as I am carefree, easygoing, and fun with my couples. I tell my couples "adventure is relative". You don’t have to summit anything, or log in miles. Just being there — at the base of the world’s largest trees in Kings Canyon, or watching the sunset at Taft Point at Yosemite, or standing in the desert silence of Joshua Tree — that IS the adventure. Your version of adventure, told honestly. + LGBTQ Friendly

I'm drawn to the ocean, towering trees, and the quiet beauty of simple moments. When I'm not behind a camera, you'll find me hunting for Turkish coffee (Demetris spoils me at home), thrifting my way through road trips, or speaking Spanish and making people laugh in jumpsuits. Warm and natural When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm still shooting — road trips, travel, everyday moments on film. It's where my eye goes when no one's watching.

    Passionately creative!!

    I love working with Mariela, she is the sweetest most creative photographer I know. Her style and eye for detail is wonderful. Her passion shows in her final cuts.! Her unedited work is even great itself, if you haven’t seen any BTS (behind the scenes) shots of her, it’s incredible the lengths she goes for that perfect shot.! Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding. most of my packages include a 2nd photographer and an assistant is no extra charge to you.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also do little extra touch-ups on my favorites at no extra cost to you. I do offer removal of items, blemishes, etc on more imagery upon request for additional fees.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. with that being said I do have a few companies I work with for full-day weddings. I do offer video add-on for elopements. ask me what that entails.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a gallery with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 13 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never canceled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my associates and or my 2nd's. If all fails, I’ll provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
