I am a Georgetown-based, documentary, cinematic-styled wedding photographer. I approach each wedding with a keen eye for detail, carefully orchestrating every frame to create a cinematic experience. I curate your wedding albums and galleries as a captivating film, where every image unfolds like a still from a movie. The composition, the lighting, and the rich palette of colors – all come together to narrate your story. Quiet Luxury, travel, and intimacy are the cornerstones of my photography business. I cater to discerning clients who appreciate the visually striking aesthetics as well as the experience that comes with it. My clients and I love the design and artistry put in weddings but are also not afraid to get dirty and live life. My goal is to create an organic connection with my clients, to understand their vision truly, and to translate it into imagery that will stand the test of time.     Never Have I Ever…

    Never have I ever felt beautiful in a photograph. I shy away from the camera purposely. I’m naturally awkward in photos. But for my wedding elopement I knew I’d want some beautiful photos. Lucy made us feel comfortable despite our photo anxiousness. And I walked away with photos I absolutely love and will cherish forever. I love them all but one of my favorites Lucy took that day made me feel so beautiful, something I truly have never felt in a photo before. For the first time I had photos printed to hang on my wall, where others will see them. I will recommend Lucy to anyone knowing that the images she’ll create will be beautiful. In fact, she is photographing my little sisters wedding this fall. I cannot wait to the see the images. The engagement photos she did of them are gorgeous. Seriously, hire Lucy. She’s a delightful, kind person that’s a joy to be around, and wonderful photographer. You won’t be disappointed.

    True Talent

    I hired Lucy to take my wedding photos in 2016. She was an absolute dream to work with. She is a true professional and has such an easygoing, kind nature about her and really helped me feel at absolute ease. I knew that she would deliver beautiful photos but she went above and beyond what I expected - classic, timeless photos that captured every single perfect moment of our day. Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
All photographs will be edited and delivered via a digital gallery. I do not offer unedited photos or RAW files at this time.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within about 24-48 hours I will provide a small batch of preview images of your big day. Depending on the package you book with me, you may also receive a custom USB with the full resolution images as well.
In my years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement. For more detailed info on this you may request a look at the contract I send out that covers this.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. I do not restrict or limit the amount of photos being delivered based on package. My goal is to provide as much authentic content as possible. If we are working together and having a good time, you will have an abundance of photos in your gallery.
YES! I have an abundant amount of options for albums. They are all handmade in the U.S. and are printed on archival paper (they will last for decades and do not degrade if taken care of). I also offer matted prints for you to preserve in a display box or pop in your favorite frames
I have opened up availability for more travel weddings and I am “Leave No Trace” certified if this is something you’d like to explore!
