I’m just Lauren, and I’m a girl that loves to capture moments in time both big and small. I want to take pictures that will make you tear up, and touch your heart. As I’ve raised my own children and captured our own memories, I realized taking photos really brings me joy, and I want to share that joy with you. At Lauren Joy Photography, my goal is to provide you with an unposed, soulful story of your life in time

A quick tidbit about the girl behind the camera 📸: I just turned 28 years old and next week I’ll be celebrating five years of marriage with my husband, Chris. Together, we are raising two wild and crazy boys that are our whole world, Brogan and Sawyer

Lauren is MAGICAL!!
I’m not even sure where to begin – Lauren is everything I wanted and needed in a photographer. She asked all the right questions, directed when needed, stepped back when needed, but most of all, she captured our special weekend perfectly From even before my now husband and I got engaged, I knew I wanted Lauren to be our wedding photographer. Her style of photography was exactly what I wanted – capturing the organic, natural love and beauty of the day in a classic & timeless way. That desire to secure her talents for our weekend only grew with our first call with her - Lauren was friendly and professional but just like her photography, she was real – she was transparent about what was feasible and what she would recommend as well as understanding if we had something we really wanted to capture that may be hard to fit into the timeline. She also was transparent about what package would work best with our venue, timeline, and guest count. We had already shot engagement photos, so Lauren graciously allowed us to repurpose that hour of time for our Welcome Party the night before our wedding, and those are photos we will cherish forever. Closer to the wedding date Lauren diligently ran through our entire timeline with us and made suggestions she thought would make sense and raised questions about things we may not have thought about. She also shared an iPhone note that listed everything we wanted captured for the day that we could add to and adjust as we got closer to the big day. Not only did Lauren capture all of the important details from our day that we knew we’d want memorialized, she beautifully and authentically captured the moments we didn’t even think to request. Yet again throughout the entire wedding weekend I was struck with how thankful I was that Lauren is able to balance getting all 25 family members lined up and visible for family portraits, while also capturing my husband’s parents’ hands clasped tightly during our wedding ceremony. Lauren - thank you so much for capturing our day perfectly & authentically. I seriously did shriek at basically every photo in our previews (which we received SO QUICKLY after our wedding day) and our full gallery (which had SO MANY PHOTOS). You are magical!!!

I couldn’t say enough good things about Lauren! She went above and beyond for my wedding day. I was so stressed about not having enough time in my timeline and Lauren was very reassuring that everything would work out. I highly recommend Lauren for any of your photographer needs.
