I've been making pictures since 2006. After pursuing a degree in Photojournalism from RIT, I've had a unique journey through the professional photographic world, from staff and freelance work for news outlets, to assisting and production roles on commercial, documentary and editorial projects. I enjoy photographing nature and the night sky, too, in addition to personal projects. I’ve basically always got a camera with me. Through all of this time I have also been photographing weddings, which I view as an assignment that requires me to employ skills from all of the different areas of photography I've worked in.

I think my range of experiences allows me to connect with most anyone, and go with the flow no matter what happens. Wedding days can sometimes get off schedule, but I firmly believe that you can't be late to your own wedding. I'll step in and give direction when it's needed for portraits or family pictures, but otherwise I am there to capture the day authentically. I settle in to the space with you and react to the wide range of emotions and energy throughout the day. Everybody has a different story to tell, and for me that is an exciting challenge to meet.

    Summer wedding

    Josh is amazing! We used him as our wedding photographer in 2024. He is laidback, super responsive, and easy to work with. We explained our vision and what we were hoping to capture that day and he more than delivered. We will cherish the memories he captured during our ceremony and family time, but his action shots during the reception really gave us the candid fun times we didn't want to miss. Looking through his photos is like going back in time. We were thrilled at how easy it was to work with him and how quickly he processed the photos. You won't be sorry if you choose to work with him.

    Josh is Absolutely Incredible

    My husband and I got married almost four years ago at Stratton Mountain in Vermont and I still show off his photos every chance I get. Josh was an absolute delight to work with - he kept us on track and focused, while allowing us to be silly and candid. He brilliantly creates art out of the simplest of moments and those are my favorite photos. He made sure we had a plan of everything we wanted to get shots of and what was most important, so the day of we didn't forget anything. I'll cherish his photographs from our wedding forever and I highly recommend him for your wedding.

    Amazing photographer!

    Josh's photographs of our fall wedding in 2018 perfectly encapsulated the happiness of the moment and continue to bring us joy years later. He was communicative and professional before the event, and he showed great instincts during the event -- finding a way to capture the center of the action without stepping on any toes. We have recommended him to friends and family and will continue to do so in the future.

For my Duo and Max packages, I will enlist a trusted second photographer. This will not be an assistant or intern - simply another talented wedding photographer who had the date open.
I will provide you with a 20 image preview within 48 hours, with the full gallery delivery 6-8 weeks later.
I will personally select and edit all of your images to best reflect the color and light we explored together on your wedding day--no AI or outsourcing.
Absolutely not! I take pride in being able to efficiently capture formal photos as quickly and comfortably as possible so folks can return to the party.
No way! I tend to ease up or even put the cameras down (but not powered off!) during dinner unless there is a toast or other programming to capture. If I do take pictures during dinner, I take every care to capture images respectfully - you don't want a photo of your uncle mid-bite of salmon, your uncle doesn't want that photo, and neither do I.
