How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

Typically, couples book me about 16-*8 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Do you shoot with assistants or other photographers?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the wedding and chosen package. I offer second shooters and about half of couples opt for it. I don't normally bring an assistant unless in an apprentice situation.

Question 3

Will you edit all our pictures?

After your wedding I do a "cull" which means eliminating all the repeat, out of focus, awkward face images. All final images will then be edited for color, saturation, exposure, composition, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful.

Do you also offer video services?

I do not, but I can recommend some I have worked with plenty of times.

How long will it take to see our pictures?

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-8 weeks after your wedding. I also will give you some images right after your wedding to hold you over.

How many pictures will we get?

Accepted Answer

You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of shooting. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Question 7

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to shoot your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues. This happened once, on the day my first son was born. I sent trusted shooters as backup and all was well. The couple still refers me weddings.

Do you have insurance?

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Question 9

Tell me about your last name.

Accepted Answer

As I understand Pivko means "small beer" in some Eastern Europe countries. I am allergic to beer, so I can't live up to my namesake as even a "small beer" will ruin my night.

Question 10

Are image rights included?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can pretty much do as you want with the images other than edit them and then display them publicly. I don't even mess around with watermarks.
