In a past life I was a photojournalist; now, I preserve moments in time that are once-in-a-lifetime, funny, sweet, passionate, and unique to you. I love adventure and am always up for a hike, paddle, sail, plane ride, or slide down a black diamond to get the photos you want. I come from a family of happy-criers, so I love genuine emotions and candid moments. I seek to capture everything small and large, the bits of your day that no one else sees, the tears and laughter, with a warm heart, a sharp eye, and dynamic and colorful styling.

    Jen is not only a top notch professional, who is an expert at her craft; she also has a heart of gold and the empathetic + energetic spirit that every wedding couple craves on their wedding day! She has an appreciation of the overall experience of the couple, that helps them to enjoy the valuable moments genuinely, while also capturing this authentic energy in her images. Couples report back to me time and again about how they LOVE HER and find her demeanor to be more like their best friend, and they wouldn't change it for the world. Did I mention she's an outdoor enthusiast and lover of dogs, too? Bring on the adventures! An all around treat to know her, work with her, and call her a friend, time & again!

    Best Photographer in Northern Nevada

    Jen is amazing! What started as just looking for a wedding photographer turned into our forever family photographer. My husband is so incredibly uncomfortable taking photos usually because photographers can be a bit pushy and loud. Jen's personality and calm demeanor made him feel so comfortable and she captured some lovely photos because of how relaxed we both were. I grew up with a mom as a photographer and tend do do a fake forced smile when I'm taking photos. Not the case with Jen. Everything looked natural and her overall framing is gorgeous. She even put up with our crazy pups which is a lot to ask of someone. We even had comments from our friends and family about how much they liked her. My in-laws are not photo people and they had a great experience and our photos reflect that. I will forever be grateful to Jen for truly making it all a comfortable and fun experience. On the photography side of things, her lighting is on point and her framing is stunning. Her prices are reasonable and she gets you a couple previews within days of the shoot which is awesome! Then you get a digital copy of all the photos which most photographers don't do as quickly as she did. Definitely recommend! We cannot shout it loud enough.

Typically, couples book me between 6-12 months in advance of the wedding date. But some dates are highly sought after and book more than a year out, so I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Sometimes. Depending on the size of the wedding, it can be nice to have a second photographer, but I am also very comfortable working alone, especially with weddings under 120 people.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. If you like black and white, I will likely include a few black and white edits as well. I include basic blemish/scratch/etc. removal on the bride and groom, and can offer retouching for others for an additional charge.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. I have several lovely videographer colleagues, though, and would be happy to recommend them to you.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
You can expect about 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. For a standard eight-hour wedding, there will usually be at least 800-1000 finished images.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 11 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues who is of the same caliber and quality. If you prefer, I can also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
