My Story ... At 14 I discovered cameras. At 16 I dropped out of high school to pursue my dream as a working photographer. At 17 I began working for a weddings photographer while at the same time I grew up working in the restaurant business. At 22 I started my business officially, and went out on my own as a photographer. At almost 34 I'm still here. ;) Now I currently reside with my wife in Denville, New Jersey, down the road from where I grew up.

My Style... First off I'm a hybrid photographer. I shoot both film photos as well as digital photos. I tend to skew more towards film. My style breaks down into two parts: aesthetics and approach. The aesthetics I describe as rich, vibrant, and real, aiming to capture real life with a slight exaggeration. My approach is intentional, neither overly posed nor purely candid. I blend deliberate, classic poses with candid, fly on the wall moments. Above all, I aim to capture photographs that strike an emotional chord and feel timeless, as if the timestamp has been removed.

    Jeff as a wedding photographer was absolutely wonderful to work with! From the start, he made my husband and I feel so comfortable and it honestly felt like we were just hanging out together rather than posing for photos. He has such a great eye for detail and knew exactly how to capture us in a way that felt natural and true to who we are. The photos turned out even better than we hoped! Full of emotion, and just so us. I can’t stop looking at them! We’ve actually hired him for a couple other events too now because he is kind, patient, and incredibly talented, and we’re so grateful for the memories he has captured for us. IMO Jeff Vee is among the best of New Jersey photographers!

    We’ll just say it: we’re awkward. We’re the kind of people that shy away from the camera and become stiff the moment someone yells, “Say Cheese.” Yet, when you look at our wedding gallery, you get to see the real us. Jeff captured us having tender moments we don’t even remember having and us laughing at jokes we don’t remember telling. We see our parents dancing the night away, reunions of old friends, and new friendships being made. We showcase a lot of emotions in that album: excited, happy, nervous and more, but we don’t look the least bit awkward. This is thanks to Jeff’s dedication to connecting with his couples from the first call. Whenever we chatted with Jeff, we felt like we were talking to a friend. He listened to us rant, offered advice, and always kept us laughing. In our conversations, Jeff really shined when he talked about photography. He often explained the why behind everything he did and made sure to incorporate our creative vision and our comfort level during any brainstorming session. Now that the wedding is over, we feel incredibly grateful that we not only gained wonderful photos, but a new friend as well. Thank you, Jeff!!

    Jeff is an incredibly talented, creative, and sweet photographer with an amazing eye for detail! From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to make our experience stress-free and enjoyable. Jeff traveled to the Jersey Shore for our engagement photos, and on our wedding day, he went to two different locations since my husband and I were getting ready separately. Even when our plans changed just a few days before the wedding, Jeff made it all work seamlessly and kept everyone on schedule! He has great communication skills and made us feel so comfortable, especially during those nervous moments. Every photo came out picture-perfect — the lighting, the emotion, the little details — all captured beautifully. Our family and friends can’t stop raving about how amazing the photos turned out! Jeff even went above and beyond by taking a short video of us at the church since we didn’t have a videographer, which was such a thoughtful touch. He also shot some photos on film that have a gorgeous vintage look — we absolutely love them. Jeff truly made our wedding experience better than we could have imagined. We are so grateful for his talent, kindness, and professionalism. 100% recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a photographer who captures not just beautiful photos, but genuine moments.

    Meeting Jeff has been such a joy, and I can honestly say there's no photographer quite like him. From our very first conversation, he completely changed the way we see photography.
