    Weddings bring together all kinds of vendors, each one contributing to the bigger picture. It’s exciting and exhausting at the same time. By the time the wedding is over, we’re often too tired to share our experiences.  I had a beautiful wedding in July 2023 and had amazing experiences with almost all of my vendors. Unfortunately, my experience with Ivory Darling Photography was not what I had expected it would be once the wedding was over. My intention in sharing my journey is to help future clients make informed decisions when choosing vendors. As stated, my wedding took place in July 2023. My contract stated expected delivery for the photo gallery would be within 8–12 weeks.  There was no communication initiated from Ivory Darling Photography. When I followed up, I was met with vague responses and no timeline. I didn’t receive access to my photo gallery until 20 weeks after my wedding.  The wedding trailer arrived in January 2024 (7 months after wedding day), the highlight video in February 2024, and the 30-minute video was not delivered until March 2024 (9 months after the wedding).  While watching the wedding video, I discovered that the nikkah (marriage) ceremony, Quran recitation, and first look had no original audio and were dubbed with music. I contacted Enas (the owner/photographer), and ONLY THEN was I told there had been a “technical error” on the day of the wedding and ALL audio was lost for these events.   At no point was this communicated to me by Ivory Darling Photography, BEFORE I received the video. While I understand that “technical errors”  happen, what was most upsetting was the dishonesty and the lack of transparency. When I respectfully voiced my concerns about the loss of the audio, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional responses, including: “You should be happy you at least have the speeches.” “No one even asks for the audio for the nikkah—it’s the boring part. You are the only one that has ever requested it” “I don’t have a delivery timeline for my clients.” “You’ll understand how to show others grace when you have a side business.” “I am the only one working.  My friends say I do too much. I had so many clients that year and I was wearing myself thin. I barely spent time with my family.” “You actually got the better package that year than most people.” I was shocked and appalled by these unprofessional and disrespectful responses.  The wedding video seemed as though it was created in a rush so there were editing issues I voiced to Ivory Darling Photography, but I was told they didn’t have time to make revisions. The final piece was my wedding album.  This was a game of mental gymnastics.  The album took nearly 2 YEARS to arrive. I received it in April 2025.  No timeline, no proactive communication and no urgency.  I was told to go elsewhere if I wasn’t able to be patient for nearly 2 years.  Just to make sure I wasn’t understanding wedding photography timelines correctly, I consulted other reputable wedding photographers and not a single one said this was acceptable. Lastly, while I understood that delays and technical issues can happen, I was treated with inappropriate, unprofessional and disrespectful behavior that I did not deserve.   As stated earlier, my intention is not to harm any business, but to protect others from going through what I did.  Please choose your vendors carefully—especially those without public reviews or a professional website like Ivory Darling Photography.

    Ivory Darling was beyond incredible from start to finish. The team is professional, kind, and cares about every little detail. Our photo quality reminded me of something out of a magazine and I am so happy these photos are what we will have to remember our day for years to come. We truly could not have asked for better.
