I’m so happy you’re taking the time to read this & learn a little bit about this Nashville-based, fun-loving, curious, people-obsessed, twenty-something who would be honored to photograph your wedding. I’ve been passionate about photography for 12 years now & have been shooting weddings full-time for over 5. I find them to be even more joyful when we’ve got more a friend-feel & less of a vendor-vibe going, so let's get to know each other and get this party started.

I don’t believe your wedding day is about the photographs - I believe your wedding day is first & foremost about your love, the lifelong commitment you're making to one another, and all the people you've invited to celebrate with you. My biggest hope is that you’d be so present in your day that you can just forget I’m there & trust me to photojournalistically & creatively photograph everything. I want you to be present in your day so you can make those magical memories these photos will help you relive & cherish all over again down the line. No faking or redoing things. No pressure to perform. Just full freedom to be authentically you.

    My husband and I hired Emily as our photographer for an engagement shoot and our wedding day, and it was the best decision ever. For starters, Emily's photography skills are absolutely insane. She is just SO talented! (Look at her website or instagram and you'll know what I mean.) She's creative and adventurous with her photography, and has a unique gift for capturing the emotion in people every moment, big and small. We love Emily's journalistic approach to photography. It's clear that her intention when shooting a couple is to tell their story through photos. She took the time to get to know my husband and I before our engagement photos, which helped us feel comfortable and at ease. After we booked her, she was in constant communication and helped us think through each part of our day. We knew we didn't want to spend the precious time of our wedding day posing for portraits or doing things just for the photos, and Emily's photography style completed matched that. She was up for any idea we had, gave us advice, and cared most about our vision and dream for the day. What really sets Emily apart is how personable, warm, and kind she is. All of our friends and family loved her. She kept us calm and helped bring joy and laughter to a day that can feel overwhelming. On our wedding day, Emily truly felt more like part of the wedding party than a vendor. My husband and I would choose her 100 times over again!

    I don't even know where to start with Emily! I'm trying to think of all the best words to describe her and that still doesn't feel like enough. Being an engaged couple during COVID was rough (absolute understatement) - so many dreams crushed, plans changed and SO much unknown. Thankfully, we had Emily. She was beyond easy to work with. She listened to our concerns and was flexible when we told her we decided to elope and have a big celebration later in 2021. She flew out to document our elopement and they are the most beautiful, intimate and *us* pictures EVER. She also took our engagement photos, which were so easy and fun. My husband was nervous about being in front of the camera, but Emily sat down with us for an hour before we even started shooting. She made us both feel incredibly comfortable and understood our relationship, our vibe and felt like an instant BFF to both of us. Every photo is my favorite. I've watched her grow as a photographer for years (we knew each other in high school!) and I could not be more proud to have her be part of our love story. She is easygoing, hard working and I can't wait for her to photograph our "big" ceremony this year.
