I love photographing real moments of people in love. With me, I work hard for you to feel comfortable to be yourselves, so that I can capture the most creative, endearing swoon-worthy moments. My style is a mix of candid and editorial, and while I'll make certain to grab those mandatories with fam, the majority of your photos will be captured "moments" — especially between the bridal couple. My editorial-style wedding photography and engagement photos will capture those moments, those details, those looks you gave one another, that you may forget about 20 or 50 years from now, but will be able smile upon when you look at your wedding photos.

You know those Pinterest photos that you love? The ones with a gentle caress, a delicate detail, sun-soaked, vintage, and lovely? I seek these moments in every wedding, big or small. I enjoy natural light, and attempt to find that lovely light throughout your day. While I'll always work to get the portrait combinations necessary, I try to let the creative energy flow when taking photos — my attempt is to keep things natural and capture moments, rather than totally posed portraits. Most importantly, my goal is to create a connection with you, so that you are at your most comfortable, natural and real self to capture the best possible "you."

    Emily is a true diamond in the rough!

    Hiring Emily was one of the best wedding decisions we made during the entire wedding planning process. She is a true diamond in the rough. Emily did it all, from helping us set our wedding timeline, facilitating our shot list, to helping coordinate family photos and even mentioning subtle intricacies that we would have never thought of. Our wedding would not have been the same without her and her expertise. She took the time to listen to our vision for both our engagement session and wedding photos and did an incredible job of making them come to life and thus in turn making our dream day come true. She truly loves what she does and is just as giddy about our photos as we were. She is worth every penny and more! We didn't know this but you spend your entire day with your photographer, so we were extremely happy to have Emily. She even stayed after her contracted time to have dessert and dance with us!

    My husband and I recently got married this summer and had Emily Kettner as our photographer. We absolutely loved working with Emily through from the initial booking to our final gallery.     Emily Kettner Photography was a joy to work with for our wedding photography. Emily was extremely prompt, clear, and kind in all of her communication leading up to the big day, which we really appreciated during the hectic wedding planning process. On the day-of, Emily helped ensure everything ran smoothly and kept things light and fun. A second photographer can always be added to your wedding day for a small additional fee. They are always full-time wedding photographers that I work with frequently — I do not hire amateur or hobbyists for this job as I feel these photos are just as important as mine and I want to provide a product that reflects my quality of business.
You can expect about 75 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and second shooter. Usually for a full wedding day, you'll receive somewhere between 600-1000 photos, all edited by myself and delivered on an online gallery for downloading. You have printing rights to all of these photos and they are all high resolution for your own use.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to download your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. You'll receive a link with your online gallery, which will be yours to share with your family and friends. Anyone will be able to download photos, so that you don't have to share photos via a USB. The gallery stays live for a year for you to download, order prints, share etc.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. More time-intensive edits like editing out background items, altering bodies, hairlines, tanlines etc can be done for additional charge as well!
Typically, couples book me at leas a year before their wedding date, especially if you know your wedding date is a popular summer or fall date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. I only take 10-15 weddings per year, which means many times, I do still have your date available, even within a few months' notice.
