Hi, I'm Devin, the photographer behind Crafted Nuance Photography. Based in the Hickory, North Carolina area, I serve couples throughout Western North Carolina, Charlotte, Lake Norman, the High Country, and beyond. My work combines documentary storytelling with a fine art perspective. I believe every couple deserves to have their story documented with care, respect, and intention. In addition to photographing weddings, my fine art work has been exhibited in galleries, shaping the artistic approach I bring to every celebration I'm honored to document.

I am a moment chaser, so you can be a moment keeper. In between the big moments are the smaller interactions that hold your special day together. I don't just take the obvious pictures. I pay attention to everything and everyone. Excellent Photographer
I’ve had the pleasure of working directly with Devin on both of our Roper Romp events, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. From the moment he arrived, he was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. As the event organizer, I had a lot going on, so it was a huge relief knowing I never had to worry about the photography. Devin has a great eye for capturing candid moments, the atmosphere of an event, and all of the little details that make each occasion memorable. I’ve also seen his work photographing a friend’s wedding, as well as food and products for local businesses, and his talent really shines no matter the subject. He has a knack for making people feel comfortable in front of the camera and consistently delivers high-quality photos. If you’re looking for a photographer in Newton, Hickory, Conover, or anywhere nearby, Devin is an easy recommendation. He’s talented, dependable, and genuinely great to work with. I look forward to working with him again in the future.

Wonderful and Generous Photographer
Devin was an absolute joy to work with and made us (the wedding couple) feel so much more comfortable and confident throughout the day. It was clear through the way he interacted with us that he was invested in making our wedding day go well, and offered plenty of encouragement through the first look and couples photo session, as well as even giving us a preview of the shots he had taken through the day. His work is awesome, and shows care and sensitivity to the environment he is working in. Looking through the shots we received (which was much more than anticipated), it’s evident he was moving around a lot, but impressively remained unnoticed while the ceremony was going on. And he put in the time after the wedding to make sure that we received the photos with the shortest of wait times. Ultimately, Devin showcases his skills in consideration and genuine desire to provide for his clients, though now, through this experience, I’d say we are friends! Thoroughly satisfied with Crafted Nuance Photography!!

Devin expertly and professionally listened to the couple to capture the moments that were important to them. When the reception began he managed to capture all of those fun spontaneous moments. He guided the bride and groom to ensure they received photos of their magical day.
