We are a husband and wife photography team from Columbus, OH. This was a fluke and a surprise that happened roughly 3 years ago with many landscape photography mixed in beforehand. My best friend, who is also a professional wedding photographer, had accidentally double-booked 2 weddings on the same day. He called and asked if I could shoot one of the weddings and I believe my reaction was something like, “are you serious?” I had never shot a wedding before, so we quickly got to work.

For practice, he suggested that I be his second shooter at Eleanor and Elias’ Wedding, so that I could get a feel for everything a Wedding (personal information protected by Zola) I found out that I could photograph them with ease, then I could then shoot his double-booked Wedding by myself. I came away with a considerable amount of appreciation for a completely different side of photography that my wife and I were not used to. I made the decision to go for it and asked my wife if she would be my second shooter. To photograph someone’s special day with my wife by my side is “icing on the cake.”
