The best way to describe my work is a mix of National Geographic and GQ/Vogue. I love to focus on the story telling aspect of wedding photography as I capture your day (think photo journalism meets fine art), but am always ready to jump in and pose you and your partner for those magazine style cover shots. Have you ever seen the movie Talladega Nights with Will Ferrell? There is a scene where he awkwardly holds his hands in front of the camera. Yea, that is pretty much all of us. Im there to keep those hands from looking awkward and making the two of you feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera.

    Capturing Every Big and Small Moment Perfectly

    We truly cannot say enough great things about Ben. Choosing him as our wedding photographer was one of the easiest decisions we made during the planning process. We had met Ben at other weddings prior to our own and had always been blown away by his work. Every gallery we saw was incredible, so when it came time to choose a photographer for our wedding, there was no question that Ben was the perfect fit. From the moment we started working with him, he was professional, organized, easy to work with, and made the entire photography process feel effortless. Wedding planning can be overwhelming at times, but Ben always made us feel at ease and confident that our day would be captured perfectly. On our wedding day, Ben was incredible. He was efficient, calm, and seamlessly blended into the day while capturing every important moment without ever feeling intrusive. One of the things that makes Ben so special is his ability to capture not only the big moments, but also all of the small moments in between. On one of the most important days of your life, those candid glances, laughs, embraces, and memories can pass by in an instant, but Ben has an incredible way of finding and preserving them forever. When we received our teaser album within 12 hours of our event, we were absolutely blown away. The images are stunning and perfectly tell the story of our wedding day. Every photo brings us right back to how we felt in those moments, allowing us to relive the joy, excitement, and love from that day all over again. Beyond his incredible talent as a photographer, Ben is a really cool down to earth and personable guy. Having his calm personality by our side on our wedding day made it so much fun because he felt like a friend capturing all those moments. We truly couldn’t imagine having anyone else capture our wedding, and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire planning process. If you are looking for a photographer who is exceptionally talented, professional, and able to capture both the grand moments and the quiet in-between moments that make your day so special, look no further than Ben.

    Photography Perfection!

    This is such a long overdue review, I don't know how to even express our gratitude and the beautiful quality of the work Ben does. We were lucky enough to find Ben to photograph our wedding in May 2025 up in big sur/santa Cruz and words can't truly capture how magnificent his photos are. The way that he captured our wedding, the emotion, the vibe and all of our loved ones truly are memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. What originally drew us to Ben's photography was the pure colors that his images have and the realness. We wanted to be able to relive the special moments of our wedding in a timeless unfiltered way and I can truly say that is the final product we got. Additionally, when we first chatted with Ben he was so chill and easy going and we immediately felt comfortable, and that was echoed on our wedding day. When our wedding venue changed in the last week before our big day and our timelines got messed up due to transportation the day of, Ben was happy to pull an audible and be ready for us at our new venue. Typically, couples book me about 1 year before their wedding date. However, I book weddings/elopements up to a few days in advance, so just reach out!
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also do slight retouching (blemishes, teeth whitening, etc) for portraits.
Yes! I feel that utilizing a drone at every shoot creates unique and stunning wedding images that will set your album apart.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
You will always receive a next day teaser album. For your full wedding album, my turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files as well as an online gallery, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
In my 8 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
