I have a visceral reaction every time I witness love and true connection. It’s the electric feeling you get when you’re part of something that’s happening in the present moment. Being able to document that truly brings me to life. I pair best with couples who seek a documentary style and give me their trust to capture their moments. Your wedding day is not a performance. It’s about you, your big love, real life, and your closest people. The quiet moments, the loud ones, and all the in between . I document just that, in a photojournalist meets editorial kind of way that tells the story of your unique love.

I strive to be fully present and document your day as it naturally unfolds. I love a good love story, and even more so, capturing these memories that will be handed down to your children and grandchildren.

    Carmel Wedding Photos

    Perfectly Captured

    Words cannot begin to describe how incredibly happy we are to have had Onawa capture our wedding day! Not only is she incredibly talented as an artist at capturing the best moments, but everyone (not just me and my husband, but all of the guests!) had so much fun with her and felt so natural around her! The photos truly captured our best day in the best way. Looking through them all, it feels like we are reliving it all over again. From our first conversation almost a year out from our wedding, to the weeks following it, Onawa communicated with us every step of the way (even welcoming us home from our honeymoon!).     Captivating Family Photographs

    Onawa is the best

    Onawa is absolutely amazing! She was lovely to work with and captured our wedding day better then we could have imagined. She is genuine and kind and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. I love her documentary style of photography and I can not recommend her enough!

Typically, couples book me about 10 months before their wedding date. However, I've photographed weddings with a few days notice. Just reach out and ask !
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
