Cinematographer

Hi, I’m Ondrej, lead photographer and filmmaker at Bay Area Professional Photo & Video. I’ve been photographing and filming weddings for more than 20 years, with over a decade of experience throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. My style blends natural documentary coverage with polished, cinematic storytelling. I want couples to enjoy their wedding day, not feel like they’re on a production set. I step in with direction when needed, but focus on real emotion, meaningful moments, and beautiful imagery. We offer photography, videography, combined coverage, professional audio, multi-camera production, and aerial cinematography where permitted.

What sets me apart is the experience I bring both behind the camera and with people. I’m patient, friendly, energetic, and calm under pressure. On a wedding day, I quickly become part of the family—helping keep things moving, solving problems, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and taken care of. I’ve been photographing and filming weddings for about 20 years, starting with 35mm and medium-format film, back when Photoshop couldn’t rescue mistakes. That foundation taught me to get things right in camera. I’ve photographed weddings in Maui, New York City, and throughout the Bay Area, from intimate celebrations to large, complex events.

    Love it!

    Bay Area Professional Photo & Video was excellent to work with for our wedding videography. Their communication throughout the process was superb - they were responsive, organized, and made sure we felt prepared for our big day.     Made me Cry!!!!

    I had never sourced a videographer before and was given very limited direction, which made the project confusing from the start. Out of seven videographers I contacted, Ondrej was by far the most professional and easy to work with. He stayed calm, patient, and solution-oriented the entire time—never showing frustration or making me feel like my questions were unreasonable. I had a lot riding on this project, and Ondrej truly understood the pressure. He never said, “That’s not my job,” and always came back with helpful solutions. Ondrej is incredibly professional and patient, and I cannot recommend him enough—especially for corporate projects, not just weddings.

    Proposal

    Ondrej shot my surprise proposal to my Partner on 10/21/25 and the experience was absolutely PERFECT! He is a very talented photographer and I can see why he is one of the top rated photographers in the Bay Area. From the moment of arrival, to him getting amazing shots of our private beach concert , to him using his creative talents with getting stunning drone footage, we couldn't be happier with the end result. I was very nervous because I put a lot of planning into this proposal but Ondrej and his team made me feel at ease and promptly answered questions leading up to this special day. The photos are beautiful and the drone reel he created is one of the most stunning works of art I have ever seen. Thank you so much Ondrej, we will forever cherish our engagement day and the memories you helped create will forever be in our hearts!

Definitely! While we’re based in Brooklyn, New York, we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. If your wedding is over 50 miles outside the New York City metropolitan area, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Absolutely. Reach out anytime to ask about our special pricing for elopements! Please note your elopement must have fewer than 10 total guests.
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings every year to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months in advance.
Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.
Unfortunately, we cannot film outdoors in the rain or other inclement weather conditions like snow and hail.
All footage we film is edited in-house by our incredible editing team.

No, we’ll send a private link to share your final wedding video with you. Only people with that link will be able to see your video.
All of our wedding packages include at least two videographers. If you’re having a larger wedding with 100 or more guests, we recommend booking an additional videographer to ensure we’re able to capture every moment of your special day.
