The one behind the lens

I've always loved taking pictures and for as long as I can remember, without even trying that hard. Everyone in my life was always telling me I take such perfect pictures, until one day I believed them. As an adult, it started with my own dogs: every Christmas I'd take their holiday pictures because they're cute and I had a camera. Somewhere along the way it became a real business. I'm in Kankakee, Illinois,, I'm easygoing and a little silly, and now I photograph weddings, families, maternity, and pets with a warm, unposed style that catches the little moments people actually keep. I'm small and I like it that way ! it means every session gets all of me, and your photos get treated like they matter, because they do.

What sets me apart is my eye for detail. Years of watching birds taught me to be patient and notice the little things, and I bring that to every session. I see what most people miss: the way your mom fixes your veil one last time, his hand grabbing your chin to sneak a kiss, the flower girl sneaking a petal into her pocket. I'm warm and easygoing, and yes, I'll guide you through the classic posed portraits, but I'm always watching for those quiet, unplanned moments in between. Posing gets you a beautiful photo; the details get you the memory. You'll leave with both.

The most special photos
We were loved having Abby capture our wedding reception! Abby was excited about our day and communicated everything clearly, making the whole planning process smooth and stress-free. She showed up early to photograph all the small details we'd worked so hard on, and stayed late into the evening to capture every moment beautifully. One of our favorite photos happened when Abby caught a frog for us and turned it into one of the most unique and hilarious pictures from our reception. Her work is stunning with gorgeous lighting throughout, and every image is crisp and clear. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer.

She Captures Every Moment Perfectly
I cannot recommend Abby enough! She has photographed both me and my dogs, and every single time, she has gone above and beyond to make the experience so comfortable, fun, and genuinely enjoyable.
