Rabbi Jacques Cukierkorn

Rabbi Jacques Cukierkorn, a Brazilian native and descendant of Polish rabbis, has led Temple Israel of Greater Kansas City since 2011. Ordained in 1994 with degrees in psychology and Hebrew Letters, he is a prolific author of Jewish texts in several languages. He lives in Overland Park, Kansas, with his wife, Denisse, and their two daughters.

Rabbi Cukierkorn is distinguished by his global expertise on Crypto-Jews and his innovative outreach through Brit Braja Worldwide Jewish Outreach. He pioneered internet-based long-distance Jewish worship, studies, and conversion training, primarily establishing new Jewish communities across Latin America. This unique blend of historical knowledge and technological leadership sets his rabbinical work apart.
