Hi I'm Heidi, I'm a professional wedding officiant who has married almost 1400 people since 2016. My vibe is going to feel like a family member or friend, my couples call me Auntie Heidi. My job is to take care of my couples and make sure they love their ceremony and wedding day! Some of my favorite couples are nervous and I'm there to help them relax and have fun. I don't do long and boring ceremonies, I do awesome, fun and unforgettable ceremonies. Let's have some fun and put together a ceremony that is authentically you!

I have some secret super powers to help my couples. I have an ASMR voice (it's a tone that helps people relax but it also puts them in a good mood). My background is professional speaking, I'm a published writer, and I was in theatre for a few decades. That helps if something unexpected happens, I'm ready for anything. I love wearing mother of the bride type gowns, so I blend in with your wedding party. My husband and I got married 10 months after our first date. I asked him to marry me and he said, "Yes"! We just celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary in June! I'm always happy to share our relationship tips with you!

This ceremony is for us to create something that fits the two of you and feels authentic. We create it together. I will write your Love Story and share it with you and your guests on your wedding day. I will help you with your vows and I'm there throughout the process to answer any and all questions. I'm also there on the wedding day to help you have fun and not be stressed. My job is to make this ceremony and your day awesome!

    We Love Auntie Heidi!!

    “Auntie” Heidi (Love Story Vows) was an absolute pleasure to work with and one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, Heidi invested genuine care into getting to know us as a couple. Throughout the process, she regularly checked in—not just about ceremony details, but about how we were doing, how wedding planning was going, and what felt most important to us. She also provided invaluable guidance on ceremony logistics, marriage license requirements, and day-of planning details that helped us feel prepared and supported every step of the way. Heidi has an incredibly calm, steady, and reassuring presence. There is something truly dreamy about the way she speaks and carries herself. Her voice and demeanor immediately put everyone at ease. Quite honestly, she could probably read a phone book and make it sound beautiful. The ceremony she created for us was beyond anything we could have imagined. Through thoughtful surveys and conversations, she gathered the details of our friendship, relationship, and journey together, then seamlessly wove them into a heartfelt and deeply personal story. The result felt uniquely us—warm, authentic, emotional, and memorable. Without question, the ceremony was the part of the wedding that our guests talked about the most afterward. So many people commented on how personal, meaningful, and beautifully delivered it was, and how they truly enjoyed hearing snippets of our relationship that were narrated by Heidi. At the end of our ceremony, Heidi performed a “handfasting” (ribbon-tying) ceremony beautifully, incorporating it naturally into the flow of the ceremony and making it feel both significant and intimate. We truly could not have asked for a better officiant. Heidi brought warmth, professionalism, wisdom, and heart to every interaction, and we are so grateful she was the one who married us.

    We love Heidi and Alan!!

    Everyone needs an Auntie Heidi for their wedding! She made the ceremony the easiest part of wedding planning. Anytime I was stressed or unsure about something, Heidi had a solution. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and goes the extra mile to make sure your day is amazing. If you need someone to help you navigate the wedding planning world, manage those crazy relatives, and remind you to be excited, not nervous, you need Heidi. Her husband, Alan, is also an amazing coordinator and photographer, and together they made our day so special and seamless. We can’t thank them enough!

    A special uniqueness

    Just like most wedding decisions, there are so many choices to choose from. When the decision is something as important and intimate as who is going to be the person officiating your wedding ceremony, it's important to feel like you made the right choice. From our first phone call with Heidi she was very personable, caring and passionate. She answered all of our questions and explained what sets her apart from other officiants. We knew Love Story Vows was for us. Heidi has such a charming demeanor that made us feel so comfortable around her. She created a personal bond with us before the wedding over phone calls, messages, and even a coffee date where we got to meet her amazing Pomeranian, Pilot. We also decided to book Alan, Love Story Photography for our Wedding photographer. Alan and Heidi were an amazing experienced team on our big day, which made everything run perfectly!

    We love our Aunt Heidi

    We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Heidi. From the very beginning, she created a ceremony that was deeply personal, meaningful, and completely tailored to us. Every part of it felt intentional and heartfelt, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful and unique it was. On the wedding day, when there was a moment of panic about our handfasting cords, Heidi was calm, prepared, and already in action. While the original cords were found at the hotel and brought to the venue, she also went home to get backup cords just in case. Knowing she was willing to do whatever it took to keep the ceremony intact meant everything to us. Heidi brought such a grounding, supportive presence to the day. She even offered her hematite bracelet as a precaution to keep unwanted spiritual energy away, which perfectly reflects how thoughtful, intuitive, and caring she is. Nothing felt rushed or stressful with her involved. Heidi is far more than a wedding officiant. She became part of our family through this experience, and we lovingly refer to her as our Aunt Heidi. We are beyond grateful for her, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant who truly cares and goes above and beyond.

I just finished officiating my 693rd ceremony since I started in 2016! I started officiating weddings after being a wedding planner. I was mentored by awesome wedding officiants! I learned from the best female wedding officiants in the country! Every ceremony I do is different, I encourage my couples to let me personalize their ceremony. I love what I do and I love my couples, each one of different and my job is to make sure they love their ceremony! My vibe is kind of like your cool Auntie Heidi!
I believe the best premarital counseling if you need it, is to work with professional marriage and family counselors who will really help you. I'm always here for my couples as someone who has had an amazing relationship with their husband for 26 years and can share personal advice from my relationship. Unfortunately, there are officiants that don't have credentials and they charge you for a program that just asks each of you some questions and gives generic advice. It's not real premarital counseling.
I started working as a professional wedding planner in 2010 for my photographer husband's couples. In 2016, I hired two of the top female wedding officiants in California to mentor me. Since then, I have created over 693 personal wedding ceremonies, most with me writing their Love Story! I still love what I do and stay in touch with my couples.
Of course, I can! The only thing I need for my records, for the state of California would be a copy of your certified marriage license proving that you were legally married.
With my packages, there are many options to personalize your ceremony. With my top package the ceremony is 100% customizable along with me writing your Love Story. I also have a package with personalizations and a short love story. My smallest package is short and sweet with personalizations.
There are only 3 situations in which I attend wedding rehearsals. 1-If you don’t have a professional wedding planner or venue coordinator to run it for you. I will help. Please check to see if the venue provides a coordinator . 2-The ceremony is complex. I had a ceremony with an Imam doing half and I did the Western half of the ceremony. A complex ceremony means I need to be at the rehearsal. 3-It will really just make you feel better that I’m there. ;) A rehearsal is a separate charge of $185 USD add-on to cover my time and travel.
