I love working with couples to write a ceremony that is authentic to their love story and with all the details they envision. I've officiated estate-sized wine country weddings and those at the Ritz; to ceremonies in art galleries and country clubs, to shoreline and backyard elopements, and vow renewals at a family picnic or a restaurant--each one just as special as the other.

Experience and a truly customized ceremony are two factors that set me apart. I got my start as an Alameda County Deputy Marriage Commissioner then went out on my own, serving as an Officiant/Celebrant for nearly 12 years.

NOTE: Outside of the 15-mile radius means additional charge(s) for time/mileage and if applicable, bridge tolls will apply.

    Truly the best officiant!

    After meeting a few potential officiants for our wedding, we chose Saundra because of her warmth, professionalism, and thoroughness discussing all of the details for our ceremony and the marriage certificate process. She thought of every detail, from synthesizing our memories together into a cohesive narrative for the ceremony message, to explaining the technical/legal difference between a public and confidential marriage license, to helping us edit our vows, and guiding us through rehearsal. We are so thankful we found Saundra and highly recommend her for any wedding!

    Prepared, friendly, and extremely accomodating

    Saundra was recommended to us by our wedding planner and we were glad we choose her. We were looking for a more casual and non-religious officiant for our wedding and Saundra was more than willing to accommodate our preferences. Our first intro call was extremely informative. She laid out her process and her experiences with other couples and different types of weddings she's officiated in the past. It was clear she was an experienced officiant from the well-established process she had. Her communication was very effective. Her meetings were tailored toward new couples who have zero experience with weddings and she was always responsive to any questions we had through email or text. We received many compliments about the Ceremony that she officiated. Saundra had developed 90% of the script herself and personalized it based on our preferences. Her delivery and energy was less officiant-like and more casual/home-like which was what we were hoping for. I definitely would recommend Saundra as an officiant for any wedding. Her support and preparation for our wedding left no ambiguity during the ceremony.

    Professional and helpful

    Very professional and helpful. We did have a communication issue at one point, but that was resolved relatively easily. She ran a good ceremony that I think everyone enjoyed. She also went out of her way to track down what happened to our signed wedding licence when USPS lost it. Would firmly recommend.

    Amazing Officiant for any Wedding

    Saundra is a professional and easy to work with. She really knew how to make our ceremony extra special. From her coordination and help during the rehearsal she made the ceremony go forward smoothly. She was also very communicative and helpful in filing the final marriage license. I would recommend Saundra to any couple getting married in the Bay Area.

    The Best!

Absolutely! I specialize in working with couples to create a ceremony unique to your wishes! Whether your doggie is your ring-bearer, you want a sibling to read a poem, your guests to bless your rings, know that there are so many, many different ways to celebrate your love and have it evidenced in your ceremony!
My recommendation is that if you have a bridal party that is 6 or more, a rehearsal is a good idea. Facilitating a rehearsal is an extra fee, the exact price depends on whether or not it will require travelling in commute traffic.
Yes indeed! While you're legally married, what's likely missing is the celebration of your committed love with family and friends! In these cases, my role would be more of a "celebrant" than an "officiant". Together, we'll exchange ideas and design a ceremony that celebrates your love!
Over a decade ago, I got my start as a sworn-in Deputy Marriage Commissioner for Alameda County. A year after serving in that capacity, I hung my own shingle and began creating custom ceremonies for my clients. I've married couples who reside in the Bay Area and throughout California. I've also married couples who came to SF as their chosen wedding destination and, still other couples, who have come from England, Ireland, Japan and France to be married here before flying off to their respective honeymoon destinations. I've also worked with interpreters to facilitate multi-lingual ceremonies--the language of love is universal.
