About Ani Hamilton, Wedding Officiant

Ani Hamilton

Wedding Officiant

You’re getting married! Congratulations!! I am a teacher by day, but my true calling is joining together two people who love each other. I would be happy to customize your wedding vows for you, or you may use your own. You may want a small, intimate wedding or elopement, or a grand celebration; You may wish to integrate a prayer and blessing or have no religious tones at all. I am excited to hear what you have in mind. I can be flexible on pricing, depending on location. I look forward to working with you!

I am passionate about what I do because there is something truly magical about standing at the heart of such a sacred moment when two people look each other in the eye and promise to choose love, every single day. I get to witness the quiet nerves, the deep breaths, the joyful tears, and the laughter that sneaks in at just the right moments. I get to help tell a love story, and not just any love story, but your love story. I love the way each couple brings something unique to the ceremony: their cultures, their quirks, their inside jokes, their dreams. I get to bring it all together with words that feel true to them.

In three words: Flexible, Reassuring, Thoughtful

I am going to be open and honest with this review. I have been trying to plan a wedding while fighting a serious illness. When I talked with Ani about this, she assured me that she would be flexible with any changes or last-minute plans, and she delivered. We had originally planned to get married later in this year but (long story short) I reached out and asked if we could move it up. She kept a couple of our preferred dates open for us. I am crying from gratitude as I write this. We were able to get married on a date that we chose, with limited notice. She even helped set up a few things and took some group pictures of the wedding party afterwards. I feel like I made a new friend.
