Hi, I'm Charlee! ​I am a 25 year old freelance makeup artist and high school agricultural education teacher. My love for makeup started with Sephora and hours of Youtube tutorials. 7-years later I am a self-taught Professional MUA with thorough and versatile industry experience. I specialize in creating clean, sultry, natural glam. My promise is to bring your vision to life on your big day through artistic expression, personalized skin care, and professional grade makeup products!

Working with people is my passion, and this translates through both of my careers as a high school teacher and as a freelance makeup artist! When using makeup, I customize all applications based on the client that is sitting in my chair. I utilize makeup as a tool for enhancement of your natural beauty, building the level of confidence that you desire to have on your big day.

Due to the high volume of bookings and inquiries for weddings that occur Friday-Monday we have a minimum set for these days of the week. Monday-Thursday have a lower minimum due to lower frequency of weddings that occur on these days of the week . If you have a small party wedding and are interested in still booking with Makeup by CP we do offer flat rates to accommodate smaller parties! Ask your artist for more information!
Yes, traveling is a big part of the artists job in order to provide on-site services. Travel fees also cover the time it takes artists to relocate and set-up their professional kit and supplies. Our travel rate is $.50 per mile round trip. All downtown weddings hosted in hotels must provide valet parking for artists and stylists. If the hotel does not have valet parking, client will be responsible for nearby parking if a fee is incurred.
We typically book guest services at 45 min each, and bridal services at 1-hour. Additionally, LUX packages are booked for 1-hour each to allow for the luxury skin preparation service. This is a basic guideline and can be adjusted based on client needs.
Absolutely! Though I am experienced working large parties on my own, I am more than happy to provide additional help to accommodate your timeline if time is a constraint. Additional artists can be brought on for a $50 service charge + milage!
Trials are a great way to meet your artist and design the look of your dreams ahead of time--a dress rehearsal if you will. That being said, trials are recommended but not mandatory. I understand that sometimes due to logistics not all brides are able to schedule a trial run prior to the wedding. If that's the case, we can schedule a complimentary Zoom session to discuss your desired look!
A signed service agreement and paid retainer are required to secure your wedding date on our calendar. Due to the nature of our business, we do not hold dates without these two items, and all dates are first reserved-first booked. The amount paid to retain services (50% of the total) will be applied to your final balance. When you are ready to book, your artist will send you the official contract via email!

    The best choice for makeup in central Ohio!

    I used Charlee for makeup services for myself, 3 bridesmaids and my mother on the day of my wedding. Prior to that, we did a trial for both myself and my mom. She was extremely thorough during the consultation, showing us pictures of her previous clients and asking us questions for inspiration. She was happy to make any requested changes to our makeup, even though she had completely nailed it on the first try! On the day of the wedding, she made getting ready relaxing and fun, and we were thrilled to have her join us on site at the wedding venue. Everyone looked so beautiful and our makeup literally lasted all day! From 4 women who don't normally wear a lot of makeup but wanted 'soft glam' for the wedding day, we were shocked at our natural how makeup felt and how comfortable Charlee made us feel during the application. My bridesmaids were also very pleased with the price of her services and felt that it was affordable for a high quality service. I really can't recommend her enough for your next event. You absolutely won't regret working with Charlee!!
