Founded by licensed esthetician and cosmetologist Kate Redmon-Franklin, we create personalized, skin-first bridal beauty designed around you—not a signature style. Stay away!
If you’re planning a wedding in northern California, I strongly recommend thinking twice before booking Kaitlyn from Foxy Glamour. II paid a substantial amount in full, five months before my wedding, only to be completely ghosted by Kaitlyn on my wedding day. No call, no text, no explanation. She and her business partner, Autumn, never showed up. Kaitlyn failed to provide services and failed to tell Autumn any details about my wedding day. I traveled from Arizona to South Lake Tahoe for my bridal hair & makeup trial, last October. Everything went will with Kaitlyn & Autumn. I proceeded to book Foxy Glamour for my wedding day. I booked her a year in advanced. At that time, all her reviews were five stars. The day before my wedding, I texted to confirm her arrival time. No response. On my wedding day, I texted and called multiple times. No answer. This whole time I only had Kaitlyn’s info. After finally getting in contact with Autumn, I learned that Kaitlyn had never communicated my wedding details to her. Later that day, I researched Foxy Glamour online and discovered other brides had shared similar experiences over the summer. Instead of enjoying my wedding morning, I was left panicking and scrambling to find somebody to do my hair and makeup. Nobody would’ve made it in time so my family came to the rescue. Because of this, my husband and I ending up arriving an hour and a half late to our wedding ceremony. Time we will never get back. What makes this even more unfortunate is that Kaitlyn has NEVER contacted me since. No apology, no explanation, and no refund. Even after I reached out requesting my money back and explaining that I would pursue legal action, she never responded. I understand emergencies happen, but there is no excuse for completely abandoning a bride on her wedding day without a single word. I’m sharing this experience because no bride deserves to spend the morning of her wedding crying, panicking, and scrambling to find someone to do her hair and makeup after trusting a professional with one of the most important days of her life. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Please be cautious before trusting Foxy Glamour with your wedding day.

If there was an option for zero stars, this would be it. We are not one to write reviews (good or bad), but this was so disappointing even my husband started writing this review before me. We would not recommend booking Foxy Glamour for your wedding day. The owner cancelled two trial runs last minute and without valid explanation, and promised to provide a gift bag to make up for the loss in gas and time. This promise was not followed through on. We gave her benefit of the doubt, despite what our families were saying, as we understand things may happen. It was also a 1200 non-refundable retainer, which was significantly more than I felt comfortable forfeiting. She also never showed up on the day of our wedding, despite claiming to be on her way numerous times. So that made the hair/makeup trial pointless. She only responded to our messages and followed up promptly when asking about payment, leaving us pressured, confused and stressed during an important time. She threatened to not show up on the wedding day if we didn’t send her the rest of the payment immediately. And then on our wedding day, we were left without a makeup artist anyways. She promised to keep us in the loop with her arrival, and she never did. Thank god we booked the more expensive package to have additional artists as backup (we had 7 women needing services). They are the artists that deserve the best review possible as THEY stepped up to the plate and delivered high quality and professional service. To make things even more unfortunate, neither of them got paid for their services. So our money was taken and ran, and we were left high and dry by Kate. It is almost a month later and I still haven’t had her respond to any of my messages. This entire experience booked with her added so much unnecessary stress to what should have been a joyful morning and celebration. Save yourself the headache and book with someone reliable. Unless you want several thousand dollars stolen from you, and you like civil court cases.

This makeup artist is really shady. She had booked 3 different weddings on the same date as mine. I’ve had countless other brides reach out to tell me their horror story with Kaitlyn. She had the worst communication, which pushed me to eventually dispute and book another artist.

She doesn't even deserve one star at this point - She will talk to you before the deposit (sometimes sending emails at 1AM...) took the deposit and never heard from her again.. Took 4 calls, an email, and a couple texts the day of trial and then finally responded 3 hours later... and then made an excuse hours before the trial to never reach out, answer any calls or texts later on. THANK GOD I found a replacement so close to my wedding. She has not answered a single call or text or even attempted to reconcile or respond when I asked for a refund because she clearly cannot render services.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the overall experience and professionalism. She would not only be late but also very out of sorts and chaotic. She was late to every appointment we had scheduled leading up to the wedding, and on the wedding day itself she arrived late, which put the timeline behind by over an hour before starting on the first person. Because each person then took much longer than expected, I had to rearrange the schedule to make sure I was finished on time. Thankfully we adjusted things when we did, because not everyone on her schedule was completed. My mom ultimately had to do her own makeup. What was especially disappointing was that there was never an apology for either the lateness or the scheduling issues. When I came outside to greet her and show her the easiest way to the setup area, I also felt the interaction was dismissive and unprofessional. Additionally, I was told that comments were made to my sister regarding her fair skin tone, and I was informed there was confusion about who the bride was that day. I was also informed she was taking numerous breaks on each person to vape throughout the morning, which contributed to delays and added stress. The overall experience was stressful and did not meet the level of professionalism I expected, especially for a wedding day. Because my mom’s makeup was never completed, I texted her asking for some money back and she never even responded. Apparently she has no showed many brides since then. Save yourself the stress and never use her!!!
