one of the greatest joys in my life is having the talent and skill to show everyone just how beautiful they are. in using these skills to show others how beautiful they are, i found my beauty, my strength and so much more. i realize every day, i am often a small part of big life-changing events. for each wedding, baby shower, or brand launch photoshoot i get to be a part of, i am forever grateful for your trust.
You can leave your foundation at home (i've got your shade i promise), you can request reasonable accommodations, and i will respect your pronouns. my mission is to make beauty accessible for everyone!

Wedding Day Review
Kelsey and her team were amazing leading up to and on my wedding day! When looking for a hair and makeup artist, it was important to me that I found someone that was inclusive of a variety of skin tones, hair types, gender identity, etc., so that everyone in my wedding party would feel comfortable and supported, and Kelsey did just that. She was also incredibly communicative throughout the process and responsive to any wants/needs I had on the day.

Kelsea and Claudia were FANTASTIC! From our initial call with Kelsea, she made us feel comfortable and was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with. Every interaction was pleasant and simply through conversation and learning the depth of her experience and of course seeing her portfolio truly put us at ease that hair and makeup were going to be well taken care of for our day. The day of the wedding absolutely confirmed we chose the best possible team to work with—not only because everyone looked STUNNING, but also because Kelsea and Claudia were able to connect with each of us, find what made us look and FEEL great, and then really deliver on all the glam!! They were punctual, professional, and able to work with a variety of skin and hair types, tones, and colors! Do not hesitate to book Kelsea!

Kelsea and her team were amazing to work with. I am not usually much of a makeup wearer and asked for basically a glammed up version of myself, and she really delivered! I especially appreciated that she responded well when I asked for a small adjustment – she knew what I was asking for and was able to make me look and feel my best on my wedding day. Not to mention she made my fine, uncurlable hair look beautiful! Plus, my hair and makeup lasted through a whole night of dancing, kissing, and happy tears. I would absolutely recommend Artistry by Kelsea for any person getting married and wanting to look their best.

I had originally booked both Hair and Makeup with Cloud & Rea Studio but due to a scheduling conflict Kelsea ended up stepping in the day of the wedding to help me and my bridal party with all our different hair looks. She was great to work with and pulled together 4 very different hair styles while dealing with different hair textures and lengths. We were able to clearly communicate our vision and she brought it to life with skill and professionalism. She also did a stellar job at the end of our getting ready session when my matron of honor still needed to get her hair done and we were running behind to get picked up. Kelsea was able to get her hair done in a fraction of the time she normally would have and it looked amazing all day. We had a late morning wedding with a late afternoon reception and everything held up for all 4 of us through the ceremony, pictures, and dancing. I would highly recommend Kelsea if you’re in the DC area.
