Scarborough Affair, was founded by the talented floral designer Laura Ellen in the Summer of 2019 in San Francisco, CA. In 2020 Laura moved her business to Dallas, Tx. During her stay, Laura was privileged to work with some of the top Interior Designers in the Country and was the exclusive florist for Carbone/Vino Dallas. Her floral designs have graced the pages of the most renowned magazines today. Laura is a true gem in the world of floristry. With a passion for upscale and sophisticated designs, Laura has brought her expertise back to California, infusing every creation with a touch of elegance and artistry.

    Thank you Scarborough Affair!

    I commissioned Scarborough Affair as my floral vendor for my wedding in October and could not have been happier with my experience and the services provided. The bouquets, boutonnieres, flower girl crowns, corsages, table arrangements and trellis garlands were absolutely breathtaking and more beautiful than I could have hoped for or imagined. Not only did my husband and I love the floral designs, our family and friends did too, and our pictures turned out lovely. Selecting flowers for an event like a wedding can be overwhelming and stressful with so many options, but the owner, Laura, made the experience pleasant. She has a unique talent for helping you find the flowers and colors you love and bringing your vision to life in an elegant, artistic way. Laura thoughtfully listened to my ideas and color scheme, as well as budget and used her stylistic eye, knowledge/experience, and creativity to construct stunning and lovely smelling arrangements. On the day of the wedding, Scarborough Affair arrived punctually, set up efficiently in the limited venue set up time, meticulously inspected the arrangements (which were pristinely composed), and created a beautiful ambiance at the venue. On a side note, I was also impressed at how fresh the flowers were and how well they held up, as my wedding day happened during an extreme heatwave. I would definitely highly recommend using Scarborough Affair for a wedding or special occasion. I am truly grateful to SA for having my wedding flowers turn out so perfectly and helping make such a momentous day so special and memorable. Thank you!

We are based in San Luis Obispo, California. However, we are more than open to travel. Our studio is by appointment only allowing us to have complete focus on each client and event we take.
Each wedding is unique. The season, bloom availability, and the size of the wedding, guest count, and the complexity of the designs, as well as, the time it will take to create our magic all come into play when formulating an estimate. Ultimately, costs are variable, and budgets are comparable with the floral artistry we provide.
We do not have specific wedding packages, as we believe in tailoring each and every one of our weddings to the couples individual needs. Creating something that is truly unique & bespoke to you. Every request is important and we value making your wishes come true.
The earlier you contact us the better! As a boutique floral designer we limit the number of events and weddings we do each season to ensure the upmost quality. Dates generally book about 6 months in advance, and sometimes a year or more. The floral designer should be one of the first vendors you choose after deciding on a venue.
The process typically starts with the completion of the “Tell us about your special day” inquiry. Once your date has been been cleared we will then follow up with a more extensive questionnaire and formulate an initial proposal. We will then set up a consultation/mock up date with Laura to finalize the working plan.
We are known for our European garden style designs and bold use of color. We love a design with a touch of magic that one might imagine in painting. We value unique artistry and color mastery above all else. We ask that you allow us some creative freedom when designing your wedding florals.
