About Set & Melt

Maria

Set & Melt is a private, mobile candle-making workshop serving the Orlando area. We come to your home, hotel, or venue with all materials, tools, and setup — hosts provide a table and seating for guests. Each guest creates their own vessel from scratch, blends a custom fragrance, and pours a candle they take home the same day. Workshops run 1.5 to 2 hours for groups of 4 to 12 guests, fully guided, and available in English and Spanish. We serve bridal showers, bachelorette gatherings, welcome parties, and rehearsal weekends across Orlando, Winter Park, Lake Nona, Oviedo, Baldwin Park, Winter Garden and Kissimmee.

Most candle workshops hand you a jar. Ours starts a step earlier. Before any wax is involved, every guest creates their own vessel from scratch — mixing color, pouring the mold, and unmolding a container that exists nowhere else. Only then do they blend a fragrance and pour their candle into something they built by hand. That first step changes the whole experience: guests are genuinely surprised by what comes out of the mold, and they leave with a keepsake they made rather than one they filled. Every workshop is also run in English or Spanish, which matters for wedding weekends with guests traveling in.

    Had such a great time doing this candle making workshop with my family. They came right to our home and took care of everything, from setting up to cleaning up afterward, which made it so easy and relaxing for us. The candles came out really nice, and I honestly loved the whole process. My favorite part was making the vessel that my candle would go in because it made it feel more personal. Such a fun and creative experience, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for something unique to do at home.

    I really enjoyed this candle workshop at home with my friends and brother! It was a really fun, interactive process that was easy to follow along. Choosing the aromas was my favorite part - I chose honey & coconut. Definitely makes a rainy summer in Orlando much more enjoyable. Viva España!!

    Loved my Set & Melt candle! Process was super fun and simple! Had a blast going through the steps with Maria and getting creative with my design. Vase feels so high quality that's hard to believe you made it yourself! I went with a blend of peach and coconut scents that is subtle and I looooove how it smells! The corgis approved too!
