Magilla's Barbecue is a catering team based in Southern California. We specialize in Central Texas craft barbecue, offering a variety of meats including brisket, pulled pork, pork belly, tri-tip, turkey, chicken, ribs (pork & beef), and hand-crafted sausages. In addition to traditional sides, we also offer Tex-Mex inspired options. Our goal is to create a memorable menu that will last a lifetime with your guests. Barbecue is our passion, and we would love to share it with you!

Magilla prides itself on the ability to create a customized menu for each client. We can create a standard menu for wedding guests yet still create a unique dining experience for the wedding couple. Our services can be tailored to meet each client's vision.

Sample catered weddings

We were inspired by Alex and Starr's desire to provide their guests with an old-fashioned barbecue while having a special feast separate from the guest menu. We asked what they had in mind and they shared they would like a Surf and Turf style dinner. Say no more we said! We had a separate crew serve their guest while we cooked up on site a reverse seared Tomahawk Steak, alongside two gently smoked Colossal Lobster Tails both topped off with our Chimichurri Butter and paired with grilled veggies and buttery soft baby potatoes. Their special meal was carved and served on a customized wood platter that we had made just for them.

    We used Magilla’s bbq to cater a high school football dinner. Their communication leading up to the event was amazing. They made sure we had everything we requested and more. The meats were delivered piping hot and fresh. They provided multiple meats. Most places have a specialty but in my opinion everything of theirs is equally fantastic. The briscuit melted in our mouths, the chicken fell off the bone and the pull pork was so tender and juicy. Throw in the Mac cheese and banana pudding desert and we felt like we were in BBQ heaven.     Magilla's BBQ catered our wedding's welcome party. Jeff was super responsive and super informative when it came to selecting a menu that would best fit our party size. Even when we had some last min cancellations or additions to the party size, Jeff was always so accommodating. When it came to the day of, Jeff & Christine were timely and set up really quickly. They took the time to interact with our guests and helped introduced Texas BBQ to them, as many had not tried it before. Most importantly, the food was delicious! Very thankful to have had Magilla's BBQ cater our event, and wouldn't hestitate to have Magilla's cater for our next event.

    We hired Magilla’s to serve our family and friends as we celebrated our son’s Police Academy graduation. The presentation was great, Jeff and his team were so personable and added to the celebratory atmosphere and the food was exceptional. Every single item that was served was delicious and have since ordered meals for smaller family gatherings. They are quick with their responses and make it easy to work with them. Highly recommend this business!
