We want ort food to bring people together. Our goal is to make planning your event painless. We want to help bring your vision to life.
Our cooking style is versatile and we can deliver flavorful food for a reasonable price. We specialize in Southern home cooking but we can also delivery a classy gourmet meal. Not only can we provide a delicious meal we also make custom cakes and desserts. We have a large inventory of rentals in house. We are your one stop shop!

From our first conversation with Its A Southern Thing Catering, we knew we were in good hands. The owner was quick to respond and made the planning process easy, which took a lot of stress off our plate during wedding prep. What really stood out was how they prioritized the tasting experience—it helped us dial in exactly what we wanted for our big day. The food itself was delicious and hit all the right notes for our guests. One of my favorite touches was when they made my dream of serving hot dogs as a late night snack come true, which added such a fun and personal element to the reception. We'd absolutely recommend Its A Southern Thing Catering to any couple looking for great food and a caterer who actually listens to what you want.

Daughter’s Wedding
Susan and her staff were so great to work with. The ladies were so friendly the night of the wedding. The food was delicious and all the guests complimented the food and their service. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. We used Susan for both of our daughter’s weddings and I am so glad we did.

Amazingly done!
It's A Southern Thing did a phenomenal job at our wedding! I have never been to a wedding where everyone was talking about the food. We did the grazing table which was a huge hit - almost gone before dinner and the entrees and sides we picked complimented each other. At the tasting - Susan was very thorough and we even had my in laws there and she had no problem cooking for them as well. We were not planning to have a cake as my husband and I are not sweet type people but Susan gave us the option to do a cake and cupcakes which everyone loved including us. I showed her a picture of the cake I wanted and she said "no problem" and definitely delivered. We told her we had a few people that could not have gluten and she adjusted appropriately. She was super easy to communicate with and even when we had to reschedule she was on time and very sweet. Best food at a wedding I have ever had!
